- I don't see that missing open world is a problem. Actually I think that game would run more smoothly than with open world. I have pretty good pc, but ts3 with all ep's&sp's and most of store content was a bit too much my pc. I've also managed to break 2 graphic cards with ts3 :cold_sweat: :D
- I really like the fact that there are no open worlds, counting that this gives a chance for more worlds to easily come into the game! You know how at the top you can switch between maps? Imagine that going all the way across with fun new town maps!
Honestly, the loading screens are shorter than traveling by car in the sims 3, (when of course you don't speed up time) which i find amazing. Plus- the loading screens are beautimous.
I just wish September would arrive faster! XD Can't wait! :D - I like very much the open world in the sims 3, but I think that caused a lot of glitches and bugs while I played. And loading/saving my game was sooo long! I think the loading screens between areas will help this issue, and they don't seems to be very long anyway. So, I prefer loading screens and areas instead of a crashing open world lol! :)
- I'm actually glad it's gone. I really liked that in the Sims 2 when you went to eat, or went to a club it was packed with other Sims. On the Sims 3 the lots were mostly always empty and that really annoyed me. So yeah, I'm glad it's gone.
- I'm fine with no open world if the trade off is that we'll get restaurants, stores, and other community lots that aren't rabbit holes. I'll have to see what it's like in-game, but what it sounds like now is a decent trade, with a public area that doesn't require zoning, so your sim can leave their house and go to the park without having to incur a loading screen. That will help keep me from feeling as though my Sims are "trapped" on a single lot.
- I am soooo glad it's gone. There were so many problems with the open world. Hopefully the loading screens will make gameplay a lot smoother.
- Totally fine for me :)
I mean I like the open world concept in TS3 even though it creates certain issues which requires certain mods to be fixed ;)
But I am not unfamiliar with a closed world concept since I actually did play TS2 before TS3. I think both are great :#
Also, from what I have seen (and read) it will actually be more open than it was in TS2! - I played S2 and S3. I preferred the open world. At least it's not going to be as bad as S2 with the lot next door being a blur. Will just have to wait and see. :)
- I'd happily give up that open world for being able to go to a bar or something and have my sim talk to someone other than the bouncer or the bartender.
- I like how the park actually looks like a park. Sims 3 parks were really sad. I hope the neighborhoods allow you to visit neighbors without loading screens.
