ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 12 - THE "TALK"

The next morning Don came into the kitchen wearing a unique outfit. Um...is this your firefighter outfit, Don?
He saw Shanda in the Art Therapy room and headed over to chat with her.

Don: "Hey babe, I saw that you enjoyed yourself at The Gnomes Arms pub the other night."

Shanda: "Yes, in fact I did. So many interesting sims....male sims...who wanted to talk to me and buy me drinks. Better than talking to the lot here. In fact, why are you talking to me and calling me babe? Didn't I make myself clear that we weren't on speaking terms?"

Don: "Yeah, well about that. You know, I was going to join you at the bar, but, well, I had a...um...situation I had to deal with..."

Shanda: "A situation? Really? Did it involve any female sims?"

Don: "Well, sort of...but not in the way you think. If you want to know, it was a situation with Snow and Rusty. In fact, I kind of need your help."

Shanda: "You need my help? Oh that's hilarious! And you honestly think that I would do anything for you after what you did to me?"

Don: "Listen, Shanda, I'm sorry for what happened, and I can't change the past, but can we just call a truce on this. I'm worried about Snow...and I, uh...well, I need you to speak with her about...well...about the dangers of teen boys..."

Shanda started laughing: "The dangers of teen boys? How about the dangers of men in general? So, why do you want me to talk to her? You, of all sims, would be an expert to talk to her about those dangers. So why don't you do it?"

Don: "Well, I...I thought that perhaps coming from another female sim would be better. And, seriously Shanda, I don't thnk that Emilia or Jackie would be able to have that conversation with her. Emilia seems to be a romantic dreamer and Jackie...well...all Jackie talks about is pumpkins..."

Shanda: "Look, Don, Snow's a teen...she probably knows more than me. And why are you  bothering with her anyway? I am sure that her mother gave her the "woohoo talk" a long time ago..."

Don: "Shanda, both of Snow's parents died, and from what I've heard, she was raised by some relative, who she calls the Queen, who didn't treat her well. I figured she ran away from home because she was found wandering in the forest. So, no, I don't think she got that talk at all..."

Shanda looked at Don, "Are you serious? The poor kid... "

Don: "Yeah, she's been dealt a bad hand in life, and..well...she's an innocent teen Shanda...and I kind of want to protect her..."

Shanda: "Protect her? From whom?"

Don: "That robo teen...I don't trust him. There has already been two instances where the circumstances were rather questionable...."

Shanda: "And so you think he might try something and you won't be there to intervene. is that right?"

Don: "Exactly. So...do you think you can help me out? Warn her about that robo teen?"

Shanda: "Well, I like Snow, and sure, I can talk to her. But if you're really worried about her, maybe you should teach her how to defend herself. You know...in case she has to..."

Don: "That's a good idea, Shanda. I think I can rig up a punching bag with some materials that are around here. In fact, I'm going to get started on that now..."

And with that Don turned on his heel and headed outside. Shanda looked after him.

Shanda thinking: "Wow! Don really cares about Snow.  I had forgotten this side of Don. But he was like that with me...he cared for me...protected me...would do anything for me. I was totally in love with him, and thought he loved me, too. But then he betrayed me and it just hurt so much. I won't let that happen again."

Shanda kept thinking about Don, "Dang! Why isn't there a bar in this house? I need a drink now! That Cassanova Don is getting in my head..."

Unbeknownst to both Shanda and Don, Rusty had been in the kitchen having some food while they were chatting. And it appears that Rusty may have overheard their entire conversation.

Notes:  I decided to replace the bonsai bush with a boxing bag and Snow will be doing the Bodybuilder Aspiration.

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 11 - GNOMIES

The residents arrived back by the 11pm curfew, and Snow made some food for everyone. She had really wanted to wander the neighborhood to collect more items, but she was rather tired and wanted to get a head start on the garden in the morning. So, after eating, she headed to bed.

~ ~ ~ 

The next morning was sunny, a perfect day to plant those seeds that she had purchased. Before doing so, she had to till the soil and prepare the garden plots, which took awhile. Snow was still so tired from the events of yesterday that after planting a few seeds, she promptly passed out in the garden.

Rusty must have still felt bad about the washroom snafu last night and autonomously came over and started watering the seeds. Ah Rusty, so sweet that you're helping Snow. In fact, when Snow woke up and saw that Rusty had helped in the garden, it gave her an idea. An idea that could also help her with one of her tasks.
And so, Snow formed a club for the residents, where they could work on different chores together. She named the club Gnomies, for all the gnomes that were on the property. She hoped that by working together that everyone would also get along better. And she hoped that this would also improve Don and Shanda's relationship.

With the garden planted and watered, the residents went about their day.

Snow discovered a bee box beside the garden and was able to harvest bees wax and honey. She also cut some grass around the garden and discovered a few items hidden in the grass (prairie grass).

Snow might have been tired, but duty still called, as the toilet, and then the sink spouted a leak, so she had to fix them.

Jackie was speaking with Patchy. She is probably checking on the progress of Uncle Clyde. Did she bring Uncle Clyde something to eat because it looks like she has a bowl in her hand.

In fact, Jackie must have talked a lot to Patchy as suddenly he came alive and walked into the house with her.

Notes: Jackie is the only one who has Patchy in her friends' list, as well as a bunny and the flock of birds.

Emilia must have had a sweets craving. She headed towards the maze and into the center where there was a candy dish.

Only, the dish didn't hold any candy, which gave her quite the fright.

Shanda was helping out today by doing some laundry. Oh gosh! Did she remove the dryer lint?

Geppetto was up to his old tricks again and was hogging the bed. Does Donte change into Geppetto at bedtime? And who has the worst nightmares? Donte or Geppetto?

~ ~ ~

Kahi was jumping around in the fountain. Probably some stress therapy for his 'supposed" alien encounters at the Gnome's Arms Pub last night.

Well, we know at least one sim who spoke to an alien last night because they somehow got Donte's number and were calling them.

There were numerous bug attacks during the day. Bees, bats, and spiders were prevalent. Were the bees from the beebox somehow getting into the house? Kahi, Donte and Geppetto were the ones attacked.

Don looked towards the garden and saw Snow standing there. Don had been thinking about Snow and what had happened at the Grome's Arms Pub last night. That Rusty was getting trickier and Don felt he had to watch him all the time. He really needed to talk to Snow about Rusty and his possible intentions, but he wasn't quite sure how to broach the subject with her.

At that moment, Snow turned and saw Don standing there and waved him over.

Snow: "Don, I'm so happy to see you this morning. I was just admiring the garden. I was so tired before that I must have fallen asleep when I was planting, and when I woke up, I saw Rusty watering the plants. He really is so helpful..."

Don: "Um, yeah, the garden looks great...and...well...it figures that Rusty would be around you. He's a teen boy...and, um...teen boys have one thing on their mind...and um...well, you're a sweet teen girl...and, well, he's just not to be trusted around you..."

Snow shook her head, "I'm sorry, Don, I really don't know what you're talking about..."

Don: "Oh gosh! Snow, didn't your mother ever talk to you about...well...um...what happens between sims?"

Snow looked away for moment: "My mother and father both died when I was very young and I was raised by a relative. She was actually the Queen. And she and I never had those types of talks. The only talks we ever had were about my chores and how I wasn't doing them the way she wanted them done..."

Don: "Oh Snow, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up painful memories for you..."

Snow: "It's alright, you meant no harm. I only have happy memories of my parents. And even though I had a lot of chores, the Queen did let me take walks in the forest. I did enjoy those very much, that is until I went for a walk in a different forest and I became lost and confused and ended up here..."

Don looked at her: "Oh Snow...I think I understand what happened. I'm sorry your life has been so hard for someone as kind as you..."

Snow: "Well my life has changed now and it's so much better. I have met some wonderful sims here, especially you, Don. You're so nice to me and  never say mean things to me. You're very special, Don."

 Don: "Oh Snow...that's the nicest thing anyone has every said about me. But you know...that's the kind of thing that friends do. They support each other, no matter what...."

Snow: "Oh, Don! Does that mean you are my friend?"

Don drew Snow in for a hug: "Yes, Princess, consider me your friend...a friend you can count on...always..."

Snow and Don are now friends.

One of the tasks that Snow will do is Leader of the Pack. Activities will change depending on what task Snow will be working on.

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 10 - HENFORD-ON-BAGLEY OUTING - PART 2

Jackie was upstairs in deep conversation with one of the residents, Derek McMillan. He was a retired sim who lived in The Bramblewood with his husband, Ian Moody.  He had recently started a blog called Henford Heart-to-Heart, which included interesting tidbits about Henford and the history of Henford-on-Bagley.

Ian: "There is one family that I am doing research on. They used to own a huge pumpkin farm nearby, and  grew the best pumpkins in Henford-on-Bagley. But then, one day, the family just vanished into thin air...not a trace of them anywhere..."

Jackie: "The "Pumpkins" survived..."

Ian continued, thinking that Jackie had posed a question: "Yes, oddly enough, the pumpkins did survive...but the family is gone and the farm is now run down and abandoned..."

Jackie: "I like pumpkins. They are my family."

Ian: "Ah...yes....I understand what you mean. I, too, have a penchant for pumpkins. Ian kids me about spending too much time in the garden tending those pumpkins. My little pumpkim family, he calls them. I give them the best fertilizers, water them daily and talk to them...you know...to help them grow...silly right?"

Jackie smiled at Derek and felt he understood her.

Don had come inside awhile ago and was sitting at a table near the bar watching Shanda smooze all the locals. He could tell that she already had a few drinks, and the locals seemed to be plying her with more. As usual, she was the center of attention. Don had thought about sitting beside her when one of the patrons vacated a nearby seat.

 He was just about to do that when he saw Snow heading up the stairs, and then saw Rusty quickly go after her. Don figured it must be a coincidence that both of them were heading upstairs, but Don felt that he should see what was going on.

When Don was upstairs, he saw that there were restrooms there and saw Snow enter one of them. Before she even had a chance to close the door, Rusty seemed to barge right in after her. That was rather strange, and Don suddenly remembered his high school days where he would meet some of the willing cheerleaders in the restroom stalls for some...um..."hot cheer moves..."

Don scowled and figured that Rusty had the same thought in mind. Did Snow even know of Rusty's intentions? Well, no way was that going to happen to an unsuspecting Snow.

Don headed towards the restroom door and yanked it open. Snow gave out a little cry of surprise.

Don: "Princess, are you alright. Did he hurt you or try anything?"

Snow: "No...um...Rusty didn't know this restroom was occupied. He just startled me."

Don turned to Rusty: "Look, robo boy, I was a teen once myself, and I know what goes on in restroom stalls..."

Rusty: "I don't know what you mean. It was...it was an honest mistake. I just needed to use the facilities and I didn't know this one was taken..."

Snow: "Everything is fine, Don. It was just a mistake. Now, if you both will excuse me, I really need to use the toilet."

Don and Rusty exited the restroom and Don stood there glaring at him. Don then pointed to the other restroom, "Don't think I don't know what you're up to, and I do believe THAT one is free..."

Rusty nodded his head and headed towards that stall. Don shook his head and heard Shanda's lilting laugh coming from the bar and then the sound of men laughing at some joke she probably told. Dang that Shanda! It wasn't enough he had to protect Snow from some overzealous hormonal robo teen, he also had to protect Shanda from herself. Sheesh!

As Don went downstairs, Snow and Rusty vacated the restrooms at the same time.

Rusty: "Snow...I...um...I'm so sorry for what happened. I did not mean to cause you any embarrassment..."

Snow: "Oh Rusty, I wasn't embarrassed. It could have happened to anyone..."

Before either of them had a chance to continue the conversation, Snow saw Emilia hurriedly walking towards them.

Emilia called to her: "Snow! Oh Snow! You must come downstairs and see Shanda. I've never seen anyone dance like that on top of the bar before..."

Kahi came running up the stairs behind Emilia and shouted excitedly to Snow, "They're here....they're everywhere. I saw them...they're downstairs...they are among us!"

Snow rolled her eyes, "Oh gosh...we need to get home..." 

As Snow rounded up the residents, a figure left the bar. Oh gosh! Maybe Kahi was right. They are among us!

Notes: How funny that it was alien night at the bar. The whole Snow-Rusty snafu happened when they actually did enter the same restroom stall at the same time. And then Don decided to join in their conversation.

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 9 - HENFORD-ON-BAGLEY OUTING - PART 1

Snow had explained to everyone that they were going on an outing to Henford-on-Bagley so that Snow could purchase some garden seeds. All the residents seemed quite thrilled with the idea.

They travelled to the Village of Finchwick, and were dropped off in front of The Gnome's Arms Pub. Jackie had told Snow that the stalls were in the central square near the fountain, and as Snow looked around, she could see them. The residents seemed content to chat amongst themselves and Snow figured they would be fine. Afterall, Snow wouldn't be very long, as she only had an hour, so she set off to the stalls before they closed.

Snow headed to the Market Stall first where there was a display of fruits and vegetables. Snow eyed the pumpkin on display and thought about Jackie.

Snow introduced herself and chatted briefly to Kim Bloomberg, who was the owner. After looking over all the items for sale, Kim told Snow that if Snow was looking for seeds, she needed to head to the Garden Stall.  Snow thanked Kim and headed there.

Snow introduced herself and chatted with Agnes Crumplebottom. Snow found out that Agnes and her cousin, Agatha, owned the Garden Stall and they specialized in all kinds of seeds and gardening equipment. As Snow was a novice gardener, Agnes helped her select some seeds, and Snow also purchased some oversized pumpkin seeds. With her seeds in hand, Snow thanked Agnes for her help. 

As Snow turned to leave, Snow glanced over to where the other residents had been dropped off and realized that they were gone!

Snow had a momentary panic attack and turned to Agnes: "Um, did you see my friends who came with me to town? They were over near the pub and now they're not there."

Agnes: "Oh don't worry. They probably headed inside for a bite to eat. The pub serves the best aubergine parmesan in town..."

Snow sighed in relief, "Oh right...they're probably inside..." she said as she hoped that Agnes was right.

Meanwhile, at the pub...

Shanda had been the first one to head inside. Who wanted to chat with those "loser" residents, when there might be more, exciting things to do in the pub? Like order a drink, which is exactly what she did. As she was enjoying the much-needed drink, a rather good-looking sim sat beside her.  She found out his name was Lucha Harjo and he lived in Copperdale. As they chatted, she did some innocent flirting with him, which he didn't take too well. He told her he was very happily married and not interested.

Egads! Shanda couldn't believe he was married! All the good ones were already taken. Obviously, Lucha was loyal to his wife, unlike her ex-fiance, Cassanova Don. Just the thought of her own almost-wedding sent her into a tizzy. Oh yeah, she needed another drink.

Emilia and Donte entered the pub at the same time. Emilia had thought there might be some music for dancing, but she didn't see a dance floor. She was just about to go upstairs when Donte asked her if she wanted to play a game of chess with him. Emilia wrinkled her nose and then noticed he wasn't wearing his hat.

Emilia: "Who are you?"

Donte: "Emilia, it's me Donte. We met yesterday when you arrived."

Emilia: "You're not wearing your hat."

Donte seemed embarrassed, "No...I...well, that's actually Geppetto. He comes out and he always wants to cause trouble."

They headed over to the chess board and sat down.

Emilia looked at Donte: "He was mean to me."

Donte: "Emilia, I'm so sorry for anything that he might have done. I will try to speak with him about his behavior, but sometimes I can't control him..."

Emilia got a far-a-way look in her eyes when Donte mentioned that, "I understand about not being able to control things..."

Donte: "But I am Donte now, and I thought we could get to know each other better over a game of chess..."

Emilia: "I guess so, but I didn't know you were on both the Chess Team and the Football Team. I bet you talk about strategies to the quarterback all the time. And maybe other things, too. Does he talk about me when you have football practice?"

Donte: "Er...um..."

Emilia: "Oh, it's okay...I was just hoping that as his teammate that you would have talked about the prom, and that maybe you knew what type of flowers he wanted to buy me. I was hoping the color would match my dress..."

Donte: "I am sure that whatever flowers he chooses for you will look really good on you..."

Emilia smiled at Donte and they started to play chess together.

Kahi decided to leave the group and walk around the building. Just as he suspected. There was a garbage can around back, although the can was upended and its contents were spewed about. Was there someone else, like himself, looking for clues? Kahi decided to sift through the contents to see if anything had been missed. Gah! Nothing! Perhaps there was another garbage can inside.

As he looked up, he spied a gnome just standing there as if he was waiting for him. Ah, yes, Kahi needed to speak to this resident to see if they knew of more clues. After speaking with the gnome, Kahi decided that it would be prudent to bring the gnome back to the house for further interrogation.

And so, looking this way and that, he carefully stuffed the gnome in a bag he carried.

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 8 - THE RESIDENTS SETTLE IN

As all of the residents had now arrived, Snow went into the kitchen and prepared a salad for everyone. She kept thinking about the last resident to arrive, Rusty. She had searched the whole house looking for a thermostat but couldn't find one. She wasn't sure what to do and had even spoken to one of the guards about the problem. But they weren't very helpful. She hoped that Rusty would be alright because she liked talking to him and she didn't want him to have to stay outside the whole time because of his circuit overload problem.

It appeared that most of the residents were getting along. The only two who weren't were Don and Shanda. But maybe things would be better between them in the morning when everyone got some sleep, which is exactly what Snow was thinking about after her very long first day. (Snow autonomously went to bed and she got a bed to sleep in! Yes!)

Snow woke up at 3am, and remembered that she could explore the neighborhood until 5am. With the $100 simoleon household budget, it seemed to be dwindling fast. Maybe Snow would look around the neighborhood for items she could collect and sell.

Snow had also thought about the 4 tasks that she had to complete. Her first thought had been gardening, and she thought that perhaps putting in a garden would help with the food costs.

When she went outside, the neighborhood was dark and deserted and Snow only found some plants that were out of season, a frog on a log and a crystal. She was somewhat disappointed that she had not unearthed anything else.

When she returned home, some of the residents were already up and mingling in the kitchen. Emilia was cooking something on the stove and Geppetto was preparing another dish. Oh gosh...more simoleons being used. As she chatted with the residents, she told them about her plan to put in a garden. Jackie seemed to be the most knowledgeable and told her that they sold seeds at the stalls in Henford-on-Bagley. Jackie told her that they had the best pumpkin seeds there, too.

And so, Snow decided that she would take the residents on a trip to Henford-on-Bagley to purchase some seeds. She would have to wait until 6pm to do so, but Jackie had assured her that the stalls would be open until 7PM. While they waited, the residents busied themselves with various activities.

After making the grilled cheese sandwich, which she didn't eat, Emilia announced to the group that she was going upstairs to get some rest. Donte (Geppetto) had made a snide comment to her about only making food for herself, and so she had left the food there. She didn't understand this sim. Sometimes he was nice, and sometimes he was just so mean. Especially when he wore his hat and wanted everyone to call him Geppetto. And so she had left the kitchen, used the toilet, and then headed up the stairs, only to find Donte (Geppetto) asleep in bed. A bed, which had, moments before, been empty. Donte (Geppetto) had known she was going upstairs to rest. Emilia wondered if Donte (Geppetto) had done this on purpose. Emilia was not sure why, but she had a bad feeling about this sim, and had a bit of a grudge against him.

(Notes: Not sure what happened between Emilia and Donte for her to get this sentiment about him.)

When Emilia came back downstairs, she ran into Don and they chatted. This must be Don's basketball star attire. Maybe Emilia thought that perhaps a basketball star might ask her to the prom now instead of that football player. Who really knows. But one thing, she does know is that she likes Don's jokes and stories. This wouldn't be a surprise, as Don probably has a number of conversation topics, jokes, and pick-up lines ready for any occasion.

And Don was later seen talking to Shanda. Although, from their discussion, I don't think that anything Don said to her was amusing. In fact, it looked like they were arguing again.

Afterwards, Shanda headed outside to speak with the guard again. Shanda is very determined to leave this place, but those guards really aren't listening to her.

Rusty must have been hungry, too, and discovered the neglected grilled cheese sandwich on the kitchen counter, which he promptly ate.

It's good to know that robots like grilled cheese sandwiches. And even though Rusty doesn't have any cooking skills, he does have cleaning skills. How thoughtful of him to help out.

Kahi had made a rather startling discovery in the living room. There, in the corner, was the group therapy circle, and he realized that the Doctor-in-charge was an alien. Yes, an alien! They had somehow followed him and Kahi was sure that they were after his clues. He didn't know who he could trust yet to tell someone about the alien. But from a conversation he had overheard yesterday between Don and Shanda, he was sure that Don, too, had experienced an alien abduction. Or perhaps Don was a clone, or even an alien himself. Kahi had to be on the alert. Obviously, aliens were everywhere.

Oh no! The aliens had somehow read his mind and sent some killer bees after him! Help!

Jackie had gone into the art therapy room and discovered that her cousin Dixie was in there. Dixie was her favorite cousin and they were soon talking about the up-coming Debutante Ball, where both Jackie and Dixie would make their "debut" into society. 

Jackie had dreamed of this moment for the longest time. She had always hoped that she could ride to the ball in a horse-drawn pumpkin-shaped carriage.

Donte seems to have emerged into his "regular" self, and he can't understand why Emilia is not speaking with him. They had gotten along so well this morning. He thought for a moment and figured that it was Geppetto's fault. Donte just knew it! Geppetto had made an appearance and said something horrible to Emilia. Donte hoped he could fix things.

And it looks like both Snow and Rusty have decided to do their homework together, even though they are no longer in high school. Rusty certainly likes to be around Snow, and in fact, they became Good Friends.

 (This was an autonomous action by them and they chose to sit together.)

It was almost 6pm and time for their trip to Henford-on-Bagley.

Notes: I had Snow & Rusty use the computer to drop out of high school after this happened. Also, I didn't disable the Discovery Quests in time, so they actually have around $2,000 simoleons. But with the way everyone is making food all the time, that won't last very long. Since Snow is a teen, she can't really get a job to coincide with an aspiration. Although I was thinking about the part-time fishing job, which might work.

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 7 - ARRIVAL - PART 5

The door opened and in walked a robot.

The robot surveyed the room and then looked intently at Snow White. Suddenly, some of the lights on his suit started blinking.

Rusty: "The temperature in this house is too hot. I need to get to a cooler place or my circuits will overload."

Snow: "Oh....I'm so sorry...I don't know where the thermostat is. Maybe you should go in the backyard. It might be cooler there."

Rusty: "Yes, a good plan. I will go there now. If you could please show me the way."

Snow: "Yes, of course. I'll come with you. I'm Snow White by the way and I live here."

Rusty: "My name is Rusty and I am a robot."

Snow: "It's nice to meet you, " she said as they went into the backyard.

Rusty stood still for a moment, "If I am keeping you from anything, you may go. I am used to being alone."

Snow: "No, I don't have anything to do right now so I can stay here until you cool down."

Rusty looked at Snow,  "I fear that it is not the house itself that is making my circuits hot."

Snow: "Maybe it's the weather. I...um...I feel a bit hot myself actually..." she replied as she looked into Rusty's eyes. Snow had never met a robot before, nor a teen boy for that matter, and just the sight of Rusty made her cheeks feel hot.

They stood like that for several minutes gazing into each other's eyes, until Don came over from speaking with the guards.

Don shouted to her: "Snow! Shanda isn't leaving anytime soon. She's stuck here like the rest of us. She huffed off and headed to the bedrooms, but it's all good...."

Snow looked away from Rusty embarrassed and spoke to Don, "Oh, I am so glad to hear that. Maybe then you will have a chance to talk with Shanda so things can be right between the two of you again..."

Don: "Yeah, I'll try," he said. Don then noticed a robot teen eyeing Snow rather intently, "Oh, and who is this?" he asked.

Snow: "This is Rusty. He told me that his circuits nearly got overheated because the house was too hot and so we came out here."

Rusty: "I am fine now, Snow, thank you for your help." And with that, Snow gave Rusty an autonomous hug.

Snow: "Alright, I am going to prepare some food for everyone, and I'll try to find that thermostat. Don, will you stay with Rusty and make sure he is okay?"

Don: "Yes, Princess, I'll stay with him and Rusty and I will have a little chat."

As Snow went back inside, Rusty continued to stare after her.

 Don turned to Rusty, "Oh that was a slick line my robot friend to get Snow out here alone with you. But, listen, I don't care who or what you are, but I know one thing. You're a teen boy with raging hormones and Snow is a teen girl who is very sweet and innocent. And if I see you making any robot moves on her, I'll make sure your circuits are permanently out. You got that?"

Rusty: "I don't know what you mean. I have never had this happen before. I met Snow at the door and suddenly my circuits became hot. I will do a self-diagnostic test to ensure I am in good working order."

Don: "You do that, and if you can tolerate water, a cold shower will work, too. And now I have to find Emilia and see if she likes basketball players...but just remember, I'll be keeping my eye on you...."

Rusty was left alone in the backyard and thought to himself, "Snow is certainly a fine human sim. And did Don call her a Princess? My circuits are feeling hot again just thinking about her. I have never felt this way before. I must run the self-diagnostic test now or I will surely overheat. Ah, Snow...what have you done to me?"

The following pop-ups occurred.

During their conversation outside, Snow and Rusty were doing a lot of autonomous hugs. And it looks like Snow White has her first friend. And they have Good Compatibility! Could this lead to something else?

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 6 - ARRIVAL - PART 4

Don: "Yes, Shanda is my..,um....my...fiancée."

Shanda: "EX-FIANCEE you mean! Do you honestly think I would still be your fiancee with that stunt you pulled? I can't believe you! You left me standing there at the altar waiting for you and you have the nerve to pretend like nothing happened..."

Don: "Babe, I can explain...I was at my Bachelor Party and these women dared me to enter the portal....and so I did...and I ended up here. Well, not here, but in some city I didn't even know. I had nothing on me...no ID, no phone..."

Shanda: "Women? I should have known....and is that what we're calling it now? Entering the portal? Do you think I was born yesterday? You told me it would stop...that you had changed. And like the fool I was, I believed you. But hearing this now, I know you haven't changed at all. And there is no way I am staying in this house with YOU! I need to talk to someone in charge..."

Snow: "I'm in charge...well, sort of..."

Shanda: "Listen, hun, I have nothing against you, but seriously, you're just a teen. I don't think you can help me. I need to talk to someone "more in charge" to get away from here..."

Don: "Oh, so you're leaving then? Just like that without even talking to me? That's your MO isn't it Shanda? When you can't deal with something, you just head to the nearest party. I don't see a party here, so why are you here?"

Shanda: Hmph! Well, I was actually at a party...and I'll have you know that I have been to a party every night since you totally humiliated me. And...having fun, lots of fun, I might add. WITHOUT YOU! That is, until someone thought I was having too much fun and called the cops. They diagnosed me with some weird psychosis. They said I was an attention getter and that I'm erratic. Can you believe it?"

Don: "Well, yeah I can...you were always a bit erratic...but babe that's what I liked about you...you were totally unpredictable. But you're here now and I've missed you. Really I have. So let's not fight anymore. I haven't checked the place out...but I bet there's a private spot we can...um...be alone together,"

Don paused and gave her a seductive look, "You know I know what you want..."

Shanda laughed: "Oh that's rich! I can't believe you are using that line on me! And what the heck are you doing here, huh? Did you get on the wrong side of some rich powerful woman with connections and she had you committed? About time really. Save all those innocent women from your wiles."

Don: "That is not what happened. I was just being...er...friendly with some ladies, and some spinster from the 18th century had me arrested. They said I had some Casanova complex or something like that. It's a total mistake that I'm here. But, well, maybe it's not a mistake if you're here, too. It can be like old times again...just you and me, babe..."

Shanda: "News Flash! That ain't happening. And Casanova? Oh yeah, I can see that. A cheater and a liar. But I am done talking here...where is that sim in charge?"

Snow said they were outside and Shanda stormed off.

Snow: "Do you think that she will leave? I was really hoping that she would help me...actually to help Emilia. Shanda knows all about parties and I needed her to help Emilia get to the prom..."

Don looked at her, "Princess...how do you know so much about everyone and why do you want to help someone you don't even know?"

Snow: "Dr. Hunstman gave me these files and I read them. He told me I had to take care of everyone. And now Shanda might leave and then who will help Emilia?"

Don looked at Snow and realized she was a kind-hearted sim. He had never met a teen like her before, "Now, don't you fret. Shanda has these moods. She just needs to cool off. She'll be fine. I'll go talk to her."

Snow: "Thank you, Don. You are so wise, I am glad that you are here."

Don headed off after Shanda and Snow didn't know how she was feeling right now. If Shanda left, her whole plan of helping Emilia would fall apart. She didn't know what to do. And then suddenly, the door opened again.

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 5- ARRIVAL - PART 2

A young woman wearing an orange dress stood in the hallway.

Jackie: "Sul Sul! I'm Jackie," she said shyly.

Snow: "Sul Sul! I'm Snow White. I live here. Some of the others have arrived. Would you like to come in and meet them?"

Jackie nodded her head and Snow brought her over to where Donte and Emilia were chatting. Jackie looked around nervously and caught sight of something in the other room and then let out a scream.

Jacie: "Uncle Clyde! Uncle Clyde! It's alright, I'm here now," she shouted as she ran into the other room.

Jackie turned to Snow: "You have to help him! Can't you see that he is terribly ill?"

Snow went over to the table and saw a pumpkin with pumpkin guts spilling from its mouth. This must be "Uncle Clyde".

Jackie: "Can you help me bring him outside? He will do much better in the sun...." she said as she lifted the pumpkin carefully from the table.

Together, Snow and Jackie brought the pumpkin outside and placed it near a scarecrow.

Jackie looked at the scarecrow: "Oh how wonderful, I see that you have a medic on staff. I am sure that "Uncle Clyde" will be better in a few days. It must have been something he ate at the picnic. You haven't seen my Aunt Mabel anywhere, have you? She usually has a remedy in her bag for whatever ails you..."

Snow White knew that this was Jackie and any pumpkin was her "family." Snow racked her brain to remember if she had seen any other pumpkins in the house. 

Snow remembered seeing a pumpkin upstairs: "She might be upstairs near the bedrooms..."

Jackie: "Upstairs? Oh, how wonderful. She was probably just taking a nap after her long journey here. I'll go fetch her in a minute, but I just want to stay with Uncle Clyde for awhile and make sure that he's settled in...."
Snow nodded her head. She left Jackie alone with "Uncle Clyde," and heard Jackie talking to him non-stop.

Snow started walking towards the house again and passed Kahi and Emilia playing ping pong.

When she entered the house, Donte was talking to himself in the mirror. Snow was just about to chat with Donte when the front door opened again.

Snow went to greet the sim. A male sim stood there who immediately gave her a smile.

Don: "Well, now. What's a sweet teen like you doing in this horrible place?"

Snow: "I live here and Dr. Huntsman said that I needed to clean and cook and look after everyone. He told me it would help me get better..."

 Don: "Really? What's your name Princess?"

Snow: "I'm Snow White...and you must be Don..."

Don winked at her, "A pretty girl and smart, too. I guess all the ladies knew I would be coming and are rather excited, huh?"

Snow: "I'm not really sure...but...um...I think Emilia is looking for the "star quarterback." Are you him?"

Don: "A quarterback, huh? I am not sure I have the right outfit packed, but I could get it, you know, if they let me go back home. Anything to make the ladies happy. But, what about a basketball player...do you know if she likes them?"

Snow: "I don't know. You can ask her. She's outside. But I think she is really waiting for the star quarterback because he has to ask her to the prom..."

Don: "Oh? She's a party girl is she? My type of woman,"  Don said smoothing back his hair.

Don then got a look of nostalgia in his eyes, "You know, I knew a party girl once...best girl I've ever met...she was really special...one of a kind..." he started to say.

Snow: "So, do you still talk to her?"

Don shook his head, "No...when I came here, we lost each other..."

And just as Snow was about to ask another question, the door flew open.

Shanda: "Shanda has arrived! Let the party begin! Just show me where the bar is because I need a drink after the plumbob night and day I've had. And then I need to know where my room is so I can nap a bit before the next party starts..."

Don looked at Shanda in astonishment, "Shanda? Is that you?"

Shonda: "Don? I can't believe it!"

Don: "Oh, babe, I'm so happy to see you again. How did you get here? I've missed you so much. Now come on over here and lay some sugar on me..."

Shanda pushed Don away, "Oh no! Get your hands off of me!"

Snow: "Um...do you know each other?"

They both turned to her.

Don: "Yes, Shanda is my..,um....my...fiancée."

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 4 - ARRIVAL - PART 1

Snow went to the front door and only saw one sim standing there.

Snow: "Sul Sul! Did anyone else come in? I thought I heard voices..."

Donte looked at Snow strangely, "He's here you know..."

Snow: "Oh, is he hiding somewhere? Are you playing hide and seek?"

Donte: "He's always hiding...and it's always a game to him. I hear him...he says he wants to meet you..."

Snow: "Oh, how nice. I'd like to meet him, too", Snow smiled, "I'm so sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Snow White, but I didn't get your name..."

Donte introduced himself. Snow thought back to the files and realized that the other "sim" who was hiding was actually Donte's imaginary friend, Geppetto.

Snow: "So, um...it's Geppetto who's hiding, right?"

Donte looked aghast, "Who told you his name? Don't say it out loud or he'll make trouble. He always makes trouble. I have to find him. I think he is hiding over there...he followed me here, but he has to leave..."

Donte then went over to the circle of gnomes and started chatting with one of them. Snow was about to say something to Donte when the front door opened again.

The young woman who entered looked around and spotted Donte talking to the gnomes.

Emilia: "Oh my gosh! Is that him? I can't tell if it is or not. What should I do? Should I just sit on that couch and act casual and give him a chance to come over and talk to me?"

Snow: "Um...well, you could always go over and talk to Donte if you want. I mean after he's done talking with Geppetto that is..."

Emilia looked confused: "Donte? Geppetto? Are they on the football team, too?"

Snow thought back to the files and realized who had arrived.

Snow: "Oh right, the football team, um, I'm not sure. But, you're Emilia, right? I'm Snow White. It is so nice to meet you..."

Emilia: "Oh you know my name? Has he been talking about me?"

Snow: "No...I just...um...read about you..."

Emilia: "So, it's true, then? I heard that someone had posted on Social Bunny that he is going to ask me to the prom. Is he outside?"

Snow: "Er...no..."

Emilia interrupted: "Oh, right, I forgot he's in football practice. I'll go over and ask Donte and Geppetto when he'll be here..."

And with that, Emilia headed to where Donte was standing.

Snow heaved a sigh. Maybe she should go over and see if things were okay with Donte, Geppetto, and Emilia. But before she had a chance, the door opened again and a sim with a strange hat came in.

Kahi looked at her and whispered, "You know, that head covering won't work. You need one of these hats to prevent them from probing your mind. Otherwise, they'll know all your secrets."

Snow fingered her head kerchief nervously, "I...well...I don't have anything else. And I don't have any secrets really..."

Kahi moved closer to her, "Everyone has secrets. And I am close to finding out their secrets. I have clues, lots of clues, but I need to store them in a safe place. Is there somewhere I can store some things?"

Snow: "Of course...upstairs...there are lockers where you can put any items you brought..."

Kahi: "Are the lockers made of steel? Electromagnetic radio waves cannot pass through steel, so they'll be safe."

Snow: "I'm not sure...I think they are steel..."

Kahi narrowed his eyes and looked at her again, "Your skin is very white. Like snow. Is that your real skin? Where are you from?"

Snow: "Oh, yes, my skin is as white as snow and it's real, and that's why I'm called Snow White. I am actually from Windenburg."

Kahi: "I should have known. YOU ALL have good alibis, and that sounds like a good one to me..."  

Snow: "It's not an alibi, it's the truth."

Kahi: "So, why are you here then? Are you spying on me?" he replied looking around nervously.

Snow: "No, no...I...well...I was lost in the forest...because...well...I was hiding from someone who wanted to do me harm...and when the authorities found me, they didn't believe me...and I was sent here..."

Kahi nodded his head, "I understand now. Yes....they wanted you, too. It's because of your unusual features. I see that now. But don't worry, I won't let those aliens take you like they took my mother," he said and then whispered, "I apologize for my suspicions. One can't be too careful. My name is Kahi. Stick with me and you'll be safe..." 

Snow suddenly remembered the file and knew that Kahi thought that she had been hiding from aliens in the forest. Kahi suddenly had a dazed look on his face and Snow tried to motion to him.

Snow: "Oh...but it wasn't aliens who I was hiding from..." she said, but Kahi didn't hear her as he slowly mounted the stairs.

Snow shook her head and didn't want Kahi to think that she had lied to him. She had to tell him that it was the Evil Queen who had been after her. She turned and was about to go up the stairs to speak with Kahi when the door opened again.

Notes: When any pop-ups come up, the answer will always be yes. The only time I controlled the other sims was for them to take a selfie to put on the house wall. Otherwise, I am only controlling Snow White. I had placed the other sims on a separate lot and then moved them in one at a time. When they arrived, Snow asked the same questions, Get To Know, Ask About Day, Discuss Interests and told a joke and did 1 mischief interaction.

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 3 -  THE CASE FILES - PART 2

Snow White looked at the other files and decided to explore the upstairs. There were two sleeping areas, and she took a seat on one of the beds and started reading again.

(Snow is in one of the upstairs bedrooms. There are a total of 2 beds in each room.)

Patient 6699 - Male - Young Adult - Donte Haskins

Summary: Admitted to asylum by Father. A twin who thinks he has an imaginary friend named Geppetto. Sometimes thought Geppetto was his twin, and other times thought that Geppetto was himself. Now claims that Geppetto is trying to take over his body as there can only be one of them.

(Geppetto will be seen wearing a hat with all his outfits,)

Snow's thoughts:  Snow had never had an imaginary friend before. She was fortunate to have made friends with the many woodland creatures that visited her home. But as far as real friends, she didn't have any. Snow could understand how Donte felt. Maybe he didn't have any woodland animals to talk to. Perhaps all he needed was a real friend, and Snow knew she could be that friend for him. Snow wondered if she would meet Geppetto, and if he was very different from Donte.

(Snow is outside at the graveyard area.)

Snow paused for a moment in her reading. It was such a beautiful day today that she decided to sit outside and read the rest of the files.

Patient 79 - Male - Young Adult - Kahi Letterman

Summary: Admitted to asylum by Father. Conspiracy theorist who thinks his mother was abducted by aliens when he was a toddler and steals "clues" to find her whereabouts.

Snow's thoughts: What a horrible thing to have happened to Kahi's mother, and Snow could understand how Kahi was feeling. After her parents' tragic passing, Snow would often hold on to objects that belonged to her parents to feel closer to them. In fact, the necklace she wore belonged to her mother. Snow didn't understand why Kahi was sent to this place. All he wanted to do was find his mother because he missed her and after reading his file, Snow White knew that she would do everything she could to help him find her.

(Snow is on the right side of the house with basketball court and outdoor group therapy area.)

Patient 8675309 - Male - Young Adult -Don Lothario

Summary: The Don Juan of sims. Says he knows the secret of what women want. Was engaged once. Will not discuss what transpired in this relationship but says he will never marry.

Snow's thoughts: Snow didn't know who Don Juan was or why Don was compared to him. But Don seemed like a rather knowledgeable sim knowing what women wanted. Snow wasn't sure how he knew, when she herself didn't know what she wanted. But then again, she was only a teen. Maybe it was different when you were a woman and then Don would know what she wanted. Maybe if she asked him, he would tell her. It was sad, though that he didn't want to get married. Snow had always dreamed that "someday her Prince would come", although Snow didn't quite know what to do when her Prince did show up. Maybe Don would know. She certainly wanted to ask him if he knew what men wanted.

Patient 01010010 - Male - Teen - Rusty Bolts

Summary: Lack of parental supervision as a child. Thinks he is a robot. Is adamant that "magic" changed him into something else. Possible pyromaniac.

Snow's thoughts: Snow was excited to read about Rusty because he was also a teen. And his life was similar to hers, except he was always trying to please his father, and Snow had always tried to please the Queen. Snow didn't know what it meant that Rusty became "something else, and Snow was a bit nervous when she read that Rusty might be a pyromaniac. She hoped that he wouldn't start any fires as she didn't see any smoke alarms anywhere. Snow felt that Rusty was rather mysterious and it both excited and frightened her at the same time.

(The office with a computer that is not yet accessible as they are currently using the tv.)

After reading the files, she placed them on the desk in an office off the entrance. These sims didn't sound so bad and maybe all they needed was someone to talk to. She could do that. They were all older than she was, except Rusty, who was the only other teen. She didn't know exactly when they would be arriving, but she had better get to work, as the house was in a state of disarray.

As she wandered outside, she saw the guards standing under a tree. She went over to speak with them.

Snow to the guards: "Sul Sul! I am Snow White and I just moved here. Dr. Huntsman said I was to cook, and clean, and care for the other residents. Could you tell me where I might find some cleaning supplies?"

Snow White waited for an answer and then asked again. They didn't seem very talkative. She figured she would have to find things on her own. And with that, she turned and skipped into the house. She had just found a broom and was sweeping the kitchen floor when she heard the front door open and suddenly she heard voices.

Snow White: "Oh, they're here!" she exclaimed and went to greet them
