Base Game improvement

Yes, more conversation animations would be my biggest wish for a BG update. They added some different ones for teens with HSY, which I loved, but we need more for adults so that watching our Sims talk can be charming again. I spent hours watching my Sims 2 Sims talking and taking photos of them while they were chatting. Sims 4 hast been lacking in this department from the start, but it grew more and more tedious over the years.

Assuming we are getting painted ceilings next patch I have not heard confirmation there's a few things I want to be patched in before this game ends.

1. Cars (all npcs updated that are tied to them)
2. CAW or world editing tools
3. Multipurpose lot types
4. Preteens
5. Open water every world come on at least Outdoor Retreat world
6. Ombre hair swatches + Natural red
7. Hazel eyes
8. Elder with cane walk style
9. More natural smaller birthmarks on arms legs and stomach
10. Animation patch for things like cuddle in bed and opening the dishwasher

I would also suggest vechiles, Burglars and Preteens for a patch base game.

I don't know if you have mods or not but the things I have found that cause pausing in my game are; lack of memory - program running in the background while playing sims, bad or outdated mods (mods older than 2 yrs while they may technically work in game are not updated to the latest patch & often reintroduce old bugs or issues to your game), too many 99+ items in various storage devices (refrigerators, chests, flower bench, sims inventory), and for me those large saddle on a pig builds I create for sims houses such as 4 stories - 8 to 9 bedrooms & every conceivable work bench, fitness machine, or any other device used to make things for the sims plus all those garden plants and all those wonderful animals....

These are the things that I attack, alter and change when I start having pausing issues with sims.

If none of these are your issues I apologize for any offense you may feel.

Personally if I were doing the Sims 4 I would do this one Base Game addition. I would take the Baking Skill that is in Get to Work and make it a BG feature, then I'd sort all the Baking recipes that are in the Cooking recipes which should have been in Baking all along.

Next I'd compensate the owners of GTW by adding a few things.

• I'd make Bakery a Retail Commercial Lot Type
  
• The Cupcake Machine and its recipes would stay as a GTW item though, thats only fair.
  
• I'd add one new Lot Trait that had to do with how a Bakery smells
  
• As for a replacement skill - Jewel Crafting. We already have rocks & gemstones in game. I'd add a Jewel crafting work bench with stone polisher. Along with a bunch of new jewelry, and polished stone crafting items you can create
  
• I'd change the Retail Lot designation to have sub-designations

Win-Win for everyone including EA. Base Game gets a new skill. Recipes are sorted in a much more efficient way. GTW gets a bunch of new cool stuff but practical for its purposes. A ton of inter-pack assets. We get off EA's back about another refresh for a while.

Base game updates:
• Cars, carpools and buses
• More than 8 Sims Max per household
• The return of the Epic Lifespan from The Sims 3 (still missing, the maximum lifespan is currently Long, not Epic, that one is still absent from TS3)
• In addition to Epic Lifespan, another update addition should be Customizable Lifespans, a feature previously added to The Sims 3 in a game patch, basically we could adjust the length of life stages to our liking/preference
• Spiral stairs
• Create a World tool or Neighborhood Editing tools OR a new plain world like Newcrest but in another setting (possibly desert?)
• Color wheel for hair, eyes, Sim skin tones
• Tattoos overhaul with a color wheel and new customization tools like patterns and tattoo placement options (possibly with a GP or EP that may include Tattoo salons and a new business/career)
• Custom Styled Looks that we can save and share to Gallery
• More Gallery base game improvements and overhauls
• Preteens
• Older Adults/Middle-Aged Adult life stage
• Graveyard public lot type or lot trait
• Owning more than 1 home/house
• Owning Vacation lots (yes, I split this into two different updates, as maybe some people can have more than 1 home AND a vacation house in addition to them)
• Capp and Monty families (the Romeo and Juliet family drama should maybe come back to Sims 4 somehow)
• Landline phones
• Option to turn off phones and modern electronics for certain worlds or saves
• Newspapers
• More off the grid compatible objects
• More Infant hairstyles and clothing
• Game Time overhaul: adding more time in real life per Sim minute, so that Sims no longer have to be late and take a million minutes to walk to important meetings or appointments and like university classes, school and work, and this would overall help with managing daily schedules…hmm speaking of schedules…
• Some kind of micro-manager tool for the Calendar (since Calendar is now basegame) called Daily Routines/Weekly Schedule for Simmers who love to plan out every Sim week and weekly and daily activities for their Sim families and households.
• Genealogy/Family Trees overhaul so we can see more family relatives like cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, second cousins etc.
• More basic common harvestables like oranges, chives, leek, spring onions and kidney beans
• More CAS columns
• Ability to remove the other Railing for the stairs so it will no longer overclip with the wall

Edit #2 : I added other important things like more than 8 Sims per household and custom lifespans/Epic Lifespan.

Landline phones and/or an option to turn cell phones off. It's obnoxious in my Decades challenge that's still in 1894 that sometimes even with all the settings I have, grandma will STILL play video games on her phone when she's not doing anything else. I also don't really like the children having cell phones in all my games. So the option to block options on a sim's cell phone or disable them completely would be cool.

SPIRAL STAIRCASES AND ELEVATORS.

More swatches for base game items. There's a criminally low amount of carpet and linoleum patterns/colors!

I'd like there to at least be an option for jobs to work like in sims 1 and sims 2 - where there were only SOME job openings each day, and some days level 1 of one career would be available but level 3 of it might be available a few days later. I was thinking maybe if at least it was like the limited option was on the cell phones but the regular all jobs option was on computers, that would be fair? It always added a fun challenge to the game if you wanted your sim to be in xyz career that you'd sometimes need to wait days to get it so you'd have to decide if you wanted your sim to take a different job earlier.

A million times agree with the game time overhaul. If you don't just cheat everyone's needs full at 7 am they don't seem to have enough time to DO anything especially with a bigger house. It took my sim 45 minutes just to leave the house the other day! Just walking from the backyard to the street!

I don't really care about cars, but I miss seeing them. It's such a bummer seeing sims just dematerialize when they leave for work/school. I miss the bus or carpool, and the increasingly cool vehicles for carpooling, and how you could trap the bus by sending someone to just stand in front of it so it would just honk for hours. And maybe with the schoolbus they could make it so kids from the area would also congregate so it'd be easier for child/teen sims to make friends with kids from the neighborhood.

I'd like more than 8 sims per household but that feels like an expansion pack thing to me. Still annoyed that cats/dogs/horses don't count separately from humans (so you could have 8 humans but then also have cats or whatever).

Since the calendar is in the base game, what about further custom options for it - like if I want one specific family to completely ignore Winterfest without removing it from that save's calendar, why can't I? We should be able to go into the calendar and customize "Susie Sim ignores this holiday". Unless we CAN do that and it's just one of many things I've never once heard anyone mention before, like the posture adjuster in CAS.

@ULIBABA66 I agree with EVERYTHING you said, so i'm just sharing some thoughts about some topics you brought.

Household:
They should add more 4 sims to complete the superior line of household sims at least, it annoys me so much having just 2 sims up there and the entire open space.

Lifespan:
If they couldn't make it customizable, i'd like to have 3 sub-stages for each lifestages, representing early, middle and late years so we would have more years to experience each lifestage.

Neighborhood:
I'd love to edit neighborhoods and that would be so easy for them to do, it's like terrain edition+garden decoration+debug+outdoor items.

Color variations:
Just wishing new color variations for hair, eyes, miscellaneous skin they could give us a color wheel or saturation and brightness sliders (for that we would need the 7 rainbow colors)

Tattoos:
I'm actually living for a paint mode for sims and i wish to have tattoos in stamps section. But only tattoo placement would be enough.

Buying lots:
I just can't accept that we can't own more than 1 lot that isn't a retail one. We alredy have a similar system, why not explore it to improve gameplay?

Colums:
They could add and option to reorganize the CAS colums quantity like most gallery apps. It shouldn't be that hard...

I'd love (but this is probably more Sims 5 material) to be able to have a career as a rapper/MC. Not singer or comedian, but rapper. Writing lyrics (like poetry style would be an option), going freestyle, listening to hiphop as a daily task for example, (buying time) studio, battling other rappers (maybe even have beefs and option to write and record a diss track in mean mode?), try and get a contract, get famous etc. New items could be big golden necklaces, flashy stuff and grills or something. The option for a golden tooth is already in the game.

And vehicles! Cars and motorbikes.

Please make manual labor a full time job. Also mechanic would be a cool job or construction worker.
