Batuu Refresh?

I honestly don’t think they would be allowed to do anything to that pack. I sincerely believe it was made as a contractual obligation to Disney. The whole thing just feels completely separate to the rest of the game. I like a lot of the BB and CAS, especially for historical saves, but the gameplay of that pack is completely separate from the rest of TS4. I think it was dictated by Disney as a promotional gimmick and I really doubt they would consent to any changes considering how ruthlessly and tightly they control their products.

Thought about sending my Geek Sim there for a graduation gift but he's getting married instead. :/ Might send him there and cheat enough Galactic Credits for a droid and maybe one of the stereos (his future wife is also a Geek).

I do like some of the CAS from the pack (a couple of my favorite hairs are from there) and some of the BB might work with the upcoming Industrial Kit for some builds. Game play is pretty meh though -- takes forever to level up, and basically feels fairly unSimlike. In general, I think it's both too new and too much in Disney control to do any sort of modification/refresh.

I suspect the original poster was just spitballing ideas if there was an eventual refresh / update to the pack.
And I'd love to see every one of those suggestions, especially the force powers related stuff and make "Force User" an occult character, and a few others things such as factoring in the like and dislike system to elements of the pack.

As for all the people saying the pack should be deleted and people should be fired over it, really?? You really think someone should be fired over it because you (and others) didn't like it, @RifftraxRules? GET OVER YOURSELVES!!! Some of us have no interest in seeing werewolves in the game but wouldn't demand people get fired if they were put into the game. For that matter, some of us hate the way aliens and mermaids were implemented into the game but don't demand people get fired or packs be removed over it. Again... GET OVER YOURSELVES!!!

Some of us love the pack, especially the build items in it.
Is it my favorite game pack? No. And it never will be with some of the other options available.
However, I do love the pack. And when the topic came up in survey about packs back at the beginning of 2020, I remembering mention that something should be done with Star Wars (though had more of a stuff pack in mind when I mentioned it).
And I honestly would not mind seeing more destination theme packs, even ones that tie into licensed properties.

Journey to Batuu needs an entire overhaul, especially with the aliens. How about making them actual occults, make the game feel like you really are in the Star Wars Universe & not just decorative advertisement for cash.

Or at least! Make it so the skin tones and extra body parts are available for all outfit styles in gameplay. At least.

I would also like the option to bring home an R2 unit.

Maybe they will refresh it and add in the new Disney Star Wars inspired hotel coming to the theme park. Imagine if they added resorts through JtB. Hahaha
