Boarding school

Can we have private and boarding schools back? It would be nice to ship some kids off....I mean, get them enrolled in an elite boarding school.
  • Yes! I also want them to bring back the feature where you have to invite the headmaster over and impress him to get your kids into the prestige school. I think that was from the sims 2 if I remember correctly. Also have the option to have your kids come back on the weekends, I think in the sims 3 they never came home even on the weekend? I don't know how boarding schools do it in real life but I would like to see my sims kids on the weekend so I don't forget about them lol
  • Yes! I would love if we had boarding school again, especially if the Gurus could implement it in a way kind of like the jobs in Get to Work. Like, your child/teenager sim would be "greyed out" on the thumbnail-bar-thing but you could switch to control them at school or switch back to the sims at home. They could also have nifty uniforms like the private school students in the Sims 2, or not, if there were different campuses to choose from with different rules, features, or drawbacks.

And in the same vein, the Gurus could use the same system for a University pack. As a college student, I'm doing my prereq credits at the community college down the street before transferring to a state uni, and it's more cost effective to just stay at home until I transfer (as I don't have to pay $5k to share a room with 8 people or half that just to eat). It would be interesting, while unlikely, to see something like this in the Sims; where a student stays at home and pays a cheaper tuition, then goes to class when it's time instead of moving to a dorm right off the bat. Then they could transfer to a bigger school and have the whole "college experience". Idk, just a (rambley) idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  • Also add home school by using computers gadgets. I'm loving all these ideas.
  • no i fully disagree and clearly do not went to see this feature return to the game.

It seems like you disagree with everything in every thread though and you never explain the why. Why don't you at least try to expand on why you wouldn't. Also, it wouldn't hurt you to at least tell us what you would like to see in game too.

Me? I think that this would be cool, but I would also like to have a Boarding/University expansion pack that allows you to go with the kids. Now that would be cool.

its not part of the way i play and i went familys to stay close and boarding school is not a place to send school to me it clearly go againts my gameplay not everyone plays the same and me it go againts the way i play i play to have fun and went family to be close to each other and see each other everyday.

I agree, if they did bring back boarding schools, I really want to be able to go with the kids!
  • Well yes I love see if boarding school for children and teenage and could come home in weekend or Christmas holiday but have half term at boarding school I would like boarding college for adult too but Sims 4 won't do that don't listen to Sims 4 players.

I absolutely would love Boarding Schools back. The Sims 2 and 3 had this and it was great. The different kinds of Private Schools had different uniform colors to coincide and they were really cute.

I added this to my list when commenting on Keekee53's request for more High End things for Sims to spend their money on. The link for the original post is here if you want to check out her request. My response is lengthy but here is the excerpt pertaining to schools.
