ENTRY DETAILS: I chose to make a waterpark to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures in the Sims worlds. The waterpark is built on the 64 X 64 lot in del Sol Valley and features 4 of the sims 4 worlds and their cuisine. Each world has it's own attraction and food booth. There is Copperdale's splash park & treehouse splash pond, Jungle Adventure's Slide Ride, Sulani's lazy river, and Mt. Komorebi's Mountain Water Tunnel Trail Ride. There is a food court, gazebo, and multiple bars where sims can try out the different culture's food. There is a large stage for entertainment, whether it be a DJ, karaoke, or just someone grabbing the microphone or guitar. There is also a large outdoor screen for watching movies after dark.

BACKSTORY- This project was initiated by Del Sol Valley to promote tourism. The project hopes to bring sims to Del Sol Valley by highlighting and celebrating the local culture and flavors of many different Sims worlds.

“Flavors of the World” – A Multicultural Festival

This month, we’re celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our Sims’ world! Your challenge is to design a multicultural summer festival—a vibrant outdoor space where Sims from all walks of life can gather, eat, dance, and connect.

The Brief:
Budget: No budget this time.
Lot size: 20x20 or larger.
Minimum of 4 food and drink kiosks or stalls (Use any combination of in-game or cc stalls, food carts, or vendor tables. Group them by region, theme them by color, or scatter them organically—your choice!)

Outdoor eating area Must include seating for at least 8 Sims and some form of shade (umbrellas, pergolas, tents, etc.)

Public restrooms These can be standalone or part of a larger structure, but they must be accessible from the festival grounds.
Use any world or season. 

Add stages, splash pads, murals, or anything else that brings your festival to life.

No indoor residential spaces (this is a public venue!) 

Don't leave the lot mostly empty.

Optional: Share the in-universe story behind your  festival.

Who organized the festival? Is it a long-standing community tradition or a brand-new initiative? Are there any simmering rivalries between food vendors? Did someone forget to book the mariachi band?

A performance space (stage, dance floor, or busking area)
Cultural decor or themed zones (e.g., lanterns, papel picado, flags, murals)

Our first with no entries. Wow.

A strong scent of tropical flowers precedes your latest clients into the office, out of place here in the city but also a welcome reminder of hot sands, warm ocean waters and bright sunshine. Then, the door swings open, and your dreamy smile falters for just a second before you replace it with one of welcome. “Hello. Come on in, sit down,” you invite.
The entire family looks worn and travel-weary but  determined. “Their sun-kissed skin carries the faint scent of salt, their expressions lined with exhaustion but set with quiet resolve.Their hair is tousled, their practical clothes still reflecting the vibrant colors of Sulani but looking as if they’ve been slept in. You think you even see a singe along the hem of one of their tops. Their sandals are scuffed. The adults and the teenage boy carry sacks you intuitively know  carry most if not all of their worldly possessions.
The adult carrying a wide-eyed toddler steps forward. “Hello. I’m Kai Kailani, and this is my spouse Nalani and our children. Sorry to bring the whole brood along but they’ve been clingy since the volcano. We couldn’t leave them behind.
You look at the children. The restless teen, who had stepped in with confidence but now hovers quietly beside his parents. The child  gripping a shell as if afraid someone would take it away from him as he fidgets from his spot between his parents. The infant in Nalani’s arms, the only  girl, who fusses softly even in her sleep.
“It’s fine,” you say, empathizing with what they must have gone through. “How canI help?”
“We need a new house,” Nalani blurts out. “We lived near the volcano - you must have heard about its eruption?” Nalani’s eyes dart toward the window as if remembering, or perhaps seeking the familiar view of the sea.
“I have,” you confirm. The news has reached you even here, this far from Sulani. Homes destroyed, hundreds displaced, some still missing and assumed killed. You remember the images of the devastation.
One of the adults sees the realization in your eyes and nods. “Ours was one of the houses totally obliterated. We were lucky we were able to get away in time, we just got hit by some flying embers.” Kai’s voice is raspy, as if still recovering from inhaling ash.
“Are you looking to rebuild on the same spot or would you prefer to move somewhere else?” You ask.
Kai and Nalani exchange looks before Nalani answers. “We love Sulani.. We’re tied to the ocean and the islands. But we want to keep our children safe. If that means moving somewhere else, we will.”
“Just as long as the new house reminds us of Sulani in some way,” Kai adds. “We’d prefer either another location in Sulani or a coastal home elsewhere.”
“Would it help if we put together some concepts for you to choose from?” you ask.
“Yes, that would be perfect. We’ll need at least four bedrooms. Koa and little Alani will need their own, but Hoku and Makai can share.”
“I Hoku!” The toddler interjects at the sound of his name.
You can't help but smile in response. 
“We’re used to having a lot of outdoor spaces, so wherever we end up we’d like at least one balcony and a deck with an outdoor kitchen,” Nalani adds, rocking Alani rhythmically from side to side.
“And a garden,” Kai adds. “If we can’t be near the beach, I’d love a pool.”
“We can do that. What’s your budget?” you ask.
“We have $125,000 available between the insurance payments and our savings,” Kai replies. “Will that be enough?”
“It should be, yes.  We’ll have your new home ready in a month,” you promise.

Lot size: Any
-Build a new home for the Kailani family, either in Sulani or any world with a coastal  area. 
-The house should have at least 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms.
-It should have a kitchen, dining room and living room.
Include an outdoor living area and kitchen
-include at least one balcony. 
-Landscaping should include a garden. 

The Sim Challenge:
Create the Kailani family. Both Kai and Nalani are unisex names, so you can choose their genders. At least one parent should have the Loves the Outdoors trait. Optional: use  Child of the Ocean and/or Child of the Islands for at least one sim if you have Island Living. All other details are completely up to you. 

The room challenge: 
Create the master bedroom. Budget: 12,000

ENTRY DETAILS: Rosa Gardner's new home is in Tomarang on Hothotok Shore in the Kon Sahpa district, where they live a relaxed lifestyle with plenty of beaches and sunshine. The weather here is ideal for someone who wishes to live a sustainable lifestyle. Rosa's home is off the grid. She uses a windmill and solar panels for power. She has a rain collector for her water and the lot has a natural well, as well as the geothermal lot trait. This helps with her water and heating bills. The home is built with many recycled, crafted and refurbished items so she receives quite the discount on her bills for that as well. If she sells her extra water and power she should almost make money every billing period! Rosa has a greenhouse full of grafted plants of all varieties as well as an outdoor garden and vertical gardens for seasonal plants. She has bees which give her plenty of honey, an insect garden for her composting and a recycler as well. The modern A frame inspired home has a grass roof, helping to blend her home in with her surroundings; as well as a large skylight allowing the natural light to fill her home. Although Rosa loves lavender, it doesn't tend to grow naturally in Tomarang so she has plenty of pots filled with it around her yard. Rosa has also made her home a safe place for many birds as well as her rabbit friends.

ENTRY DETAILS: Inspired by the bold resilience of sunflowers, Rosa’s Eco Retreat is a sustainable tiny home designed for harmony with nature. Spring is in full bloom, and this month’s challenge brings flowers into the spotlight! Your task: Pick a flower available in-game and design a tiny house inspired by it. Whether it’s the bright cheerfulness of a sunflower, the elegance of a lily, or the romantic charm of a rose, your build should reflect the essence of your chosen flower in both aesthetics and functionality.

Client 1: Rosa Gardner (Eco-Friendly Enthusiast)
Bio: A passionate environmental advocate, Rosa dreams of living in a sustainable home that reflects her values. She grows her own food, composts, and bikes everywhere she can. Her ideal tiny house is packed with eco-friendly features—solar panels, rainwater collection, and vertical gardens galore! She wants her home to feel like an extension of nature, blending seamlessly with the world around her.
Preferred Flower Inspiration: Sunflowers, lavender, or wildflowers—anything with a natural, earthy charm that supports pollinators and biodiversity

Client 2: Sylvie Meadow (Cottagecore Dreamer)
Bio: Sylvie has always dreamed of a cozy retreat filled with charm, warmth, and whimsy. She loves handcrafted furniture, vintage décor, and curling up with a good book by candlelight. Her tiny home needs to feel like a fairytale cottage, complete with climbing roses, soft pastel tones, and maybe even a little garden gnome watching over the flower beds.
Preferred Flower Inspiration: Roses, daisies, or peonies—romantic, delicate blooms that complement the soft, rustic aesthetic.

Client 3: Milo Novak (Modern Minimalist) Bio: Milo thrives in sleek, stylish spaces that maximize function without clutter. He’s all about clean lines, smart design, and cutting-edge technology. His ideal tiny home is bold and striking, featuring geometric shapes, monochrome tones, and high-tech efficiency—think floor-to-ceiling windows, space-saving furniture, and an emphasis on open, airy layouts.
Preferred Flower Inspiration: Orchids, lilies, or lotus flowers—elegant, sculptural blooms that match his sophisticated, minimalist taste.

Flower inspiration: Your home should include three distinct features that reflect your chosen flower (color palette, materials, architectural choices, etc.)
