Jumping right in the new forums with a Casting Call for sims. Need 7 sims to participate in the Asylum Challenge.
The Asylum Challenge will be played on Hard Mode. All lot traits will be used, except simple living. I will only be controlling my own sim. The rest of the sims will run amuck...er...free in the asylum. The rules for the challenge are HERE
1. Create your sim. Teen, YA, Adult or Elder. The only requirement is that they must have the erratic trait. 2. Occults welcome (except vampires, as I don't have the pack). 3. No cc as I play a vanilla game. 4. Create a backstory for your sim on how they ended up in the asylum. 5. Post your sim below and on the gallery using #SOULGALASYLUM 6. DEADLINE: FRIDAY, JULY 26th.
ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 2 - THE CASE FILES - PART 1
Snow White was dropped off on the sidewalk in front of a run-down house. The orderly who had driven her had thrust 7 files in her hand and given her a letter from Dr. Humbert Huntsman.
Orderly: "Read the letter. It explains everything. There are guards on duty, so if you need help, ask them..."
But before Snow White could even utter a word, he was gone and she was left standing there unsure of what to do. She looked at the letter in her hands and opened it. Inside, Dr. Huntsman had explained that she would be looking after some sims who, like herself, were a bit confused and needed her help. She could leave the house and explore the neighborhood between the hours of 12:00am-5:00am, and if travelling elsewhere, she would have to travel with all the residents. This could be done between the hours of 6:00pm-11:00pm. He told her about the terms of her release, but she really didn't have any skills and wasn't sure what tasks she should focus on. Perhaps if she went inside the house, she could look around and maybe get some inspiration. She carefully placed the letter back in the envelope and saw a $100 simoleon bill tucked inside. A post-it note was attached to it merely stating "house budget". Well, at least she had some simoleons to work with.
As she entered the house, she went into the living room and sat down. She then opened each file and read about the sims who she would be living with. There were seven in all.

Patient 90210 - Female - Young Adult - Emilia Hurley
Summary: Blast-from-the-past confused wanna-be Prom Queen waiting for a promposal to attend the prom.
Snow's thoughts: Snow had never had a promposal from anyone, nor had she ever gone to the prom. A prom sounded so magical. She hoped that she could go to one someday. Was this "star quarterback" like a Prince who Emilia hoped would come for her? It sounded so romantic and similar to the wish that Snow White herself had. But...what if he didn't know where Emilia was to ask her? Then Emilia wouldn't be able to go to the prom and that would make Emilia sad. And that just wouldn't do. Snow thought for a moment. Well....maybe Emilia and Snow could go to the prom together. Is this something that was done? Could you go to the prom with a friend? And would they even be allowed to go, now that they were...here? All Snow knew was that she had to help Emilia get to that prom.

Patient 1999 - Female - Young Adult - Shanda Lear
Summary: Perpetual party girl and mischief maker. A law breaker who will do anything to attend a party.
Snow's thoughts: Shanda sounded like she knew a lot about parties. Oh the clothes Shanda must have and all the stories that she could tell. Snow wondered if Shanda knew some of the current dances, as Snow so liked to dance and sing. Shanda sounded like she was a lot of fun. But wait! If Shanda knows about parties, maybe she knows about proms, too, and where to go to one. That would help Emilia a lot. But breaking the law to attend a party? Snow certainly didn't want to do anything bad or end up in jail. But maybe Shanda knew some other ways to get to a party. And if Shanda knew, maybe Shanda, Emilia, and Snow could all go to the prom together. Heck! Maybe all of the residents could go to the prom. Snow smiled and liked that idea a lot.

Patient 31 - Female - Young Adult - Jackie Lantern
Summary: Loves pumpkins and loves any recipe that is made using pumpkins. Thinks that pumpkins are her family.
Snow's thoughts: Just the thought of pumpkins brought back happy memories for Snow. When her mother was alive, she used to make a lovely pumpkin stew and it was so good. Snow could understand why Jackie loved pumpkin so much. And, Jackie's pumpkin family sounded so wonderful. When Snow White was a little girl, she had passed a pumpkin patch during Harvestfest. She was amazed to see miles and miles of pumpkins. How happy Jackie must be to have such a large family. All those sisters and brothers, cousins, uncles and aunts. You would never be alone and always have someone to talk to. That is how Snow White felt about her woodland friends. They were like her family. And now that Snow was living here, she would have a new family. Snow did wonder, however, what had happened to Jackie's real family. Snow didn't know and there was nothing in the file about them. Well, Snow would make Jackie feel very welcome and hoped that Jackie would want Snow to be part of her family, too, even though Snow wasn't a pumpkin.

Snow placed the files on a nearby table and thought about Emilia, Shonda, and Jackie. Snow seemed to have things in common with all of them. She felt so excited about meeting them and knew that they would all become fast friends.

ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 3 - THE CASE FILES - PART 2
Snow White looked at the other files and decided to explore the upstairs. There were two sleeping areas, and she took a seat on one of the beds and started reading again.
(Snow is in one of the upstairs bedrooms. There are a total of 2 beds in each room.)
Patient 6699 - Male - Young Adult - Donte Haskins
Summary: Admitted to asylum by Father. A twin who thinks he has an imaginary friend named Geppetto. Sometimes thought Geppetto was his twin, and other times thought that Geppetto was himself. Now claims that Geppetto is trying to take over his body as there can only be one of them.
(Geppetto will be seen wearing a hat with all his outfits,)
Snow's thoughts: Snow had never had an imaginary friend before. She was fortunate to have made friends with the many woodland creatures that visited her home. But as far as real friends, she didn't have any. Snow could understand how Donte felt. Maybe he didn't have any woodland animals to talk to. Perhaps all he needed was a real friend, and Snow knew she could be that friend for him. Snow wondered if she would meet Geppetto, and if he was very different from Donte.
(Snow is outside at the graveyard area.)
Snow paused for a moment in her reading. It was such a beautiful day today that she decided to sit outside and read the rest of the files.
Patient 79 - Male - Young Adult - Kahi Letterman
Summary: Admitted to asylum by Father. Conspiracy theorist who thinks his mother was abducted by aliens when he was a toddler and steals "clues" to find her whereabouts.
Snow's thoughts: What a horrible thing to have happened to Kahi's mother, and Snow could understand how Kahi was feeling. After her parents' tragic passing, Snow would often hold on to objects that belonged to her parents to feel closer to them. In fact, the necklace she wore belonged to her mother. Snow didn't understand why Kahi was sent to this place. All he wanted to do was find his mother because he missed her and after reading his file, Snow White knew that she would do everything she could to help him find her.
(Snow is on the right side of the house with basketball court and outdoor group therapy area.)
Patient 8675309 - Male - Young Adult -Don Lothario
Summary: The Don Juan of sims. Says he knows the secret of what women want. Was engaged once. Will not discuss what transpired in this relationship but says he will never marry.
Snow's thoughts: Snow didn't know who Don Juan was or why Don was compared to him. But Don seemed like a rather knowledgeable sim knowing what women wanted. Snow wasn't sure how he knew, when she herself didn't know what she wanted. But then again, she was only a teen. Maybe it was different when you were a woman and then Don would know what she wanted. Maybe if she asked him, he would tell her. It was sad, though that he didn't want to get married. Snow had always dreamed that "someday her Prince would come", although Snow didn't quite know what to do when her Prince did show up. Maybe Don would know. She certainly wanted to ask him if he knew what men wanted.

Patient 01010010 - Male - Teen - Rusty Bolts
Summary: Lack of parental supervision as a child. Thinks he is a robot. Is adamant that "magic" changed him into something else. Possible pyromaniac.
Snow's thoughts: Snow was excited to read about Rusty because he was also a teen. And his life was similar to hers, except he was always trying to please his father, and Snow had always tried to please the Queen. Snow didn't know what it meant that Rusty became "something else, and Snow was a bit nervous when she read that Rusty might be a pyromaniac. She hoped that he wouldn't start any fires as she didn't see any smoke alarms anywhere. Snow felt that Rusty was rather mysterious and it both excited and frightened her at the same time.
(The office with a computer that is not yet accessible as they are currently using the tv.)
After reading the files, she placed them on the desk in an office off the entrance. These sims didn't sound so bad and maybe all they needed was someone to talk to. She could do that. They were all older than she was, except Rusty, who was the only other teen. She didn't know exactly when they would be arriving, but she had better get to work, as the house was in a state of disarray.
As she wandered outside, she saw the guards standing under a tree. She went over to speak with them.
Snow to the guards: "Sul Sul! I am Snow White and I just moved here. Dr. Huntsman said I was to cook, and clean, and care for the other residents. Could you tell me where I might find some cleaning supplies?"
Snow White waited for an answer and then asked again. They didn't seem very talkative. She figured she would have to find things on her own. And with that, she turned and skipped into the house. She had just found a broom and was sweeping the kitchen floor when she heard the front door open and suddenly she heard voices.
Snow White: "Oh, they're here!" she exclaimed and went to greet them.
I am glad you liked that idea. I'll have to keep an eye out for Geppetto if he shows up and from some tests I did, he does! So, that should be interesting :)
Yeah, they are like the Queen's guards in Britain I think. They just stand there and look forward without blinking. They're just so serious about their job! hehehe
