Landon LockhartBackstory:
Landon is a quiet guy. He loves basketball and soccer, but is too shy to spend much time around his teammates. His favorite thing to do is to curl up in a small place with a big book - the bigger and older, the better. Books keep him from dwelling on his mother's disappearance, that day fifteen (15) years ago when Mom went to the store and never came back, leaving Landon alone.
Well, mostly. He still has his father, of course, but they don't have a close relationship. In fact, Landon takes great pleasure at getting into trouble as a way to get back at his father... a cop with an unbending regard for the law who Landon blames for driving his mother away.
But deep down, Landon's greatest fear is that he's the reason his mother left... and that he may never stop acting out.
