Lack of Purpose in Heart Realm
The people of Heart Realm have become disenchanted with the idea of playing all day and being reckless since they don’t make much money from their lack of work. They would rather work harder and earn more, but this worries the monarchs as the citizens could become overworked and burn out – resulting in no happiness, no money and no progress for the realm!
a)Grumblings in the crowd:The taverns, galleries and theatre are all empty of people. Instead they gather in groups at work and home to grumble about their lack of money and how Spade Realm mocks them. The Queen employs 4 new guards to patrol the work places and the King has his two best writers start producing propaganda about the success and happiness of the realm.
b)A few leaders emerge:Three citizens quit their jobs as a painter, musician and mixologist to become a doctor, a businessman and a chef. They then each make five new friends.
c)Sheep or Shepherd:The painter’s friends also decide to be doctors, his wife will do so too and their children will be interested in knowledge rather than the arts or romance. The businessman's friends and wife decide to work in business and their children become interested in social and money. The mixologist's friends and husband decide to become chefs and their children become interested in social and food.
d)Carrot or the Stick:The Heart household funds would be decreased by $5000 to build a new tavern or theatre in the realm, or arrest people found working at the weekend.
e)Incentive vs Experience:Ex-painters, musicians and mixologists become lv.5 doctors, businesspeople and chefs. Children reach lv.2 of their mental or motor aspiration and teens have completed their first level of their aspiration. Retail stores and bakeries are appearing in the realm.
f)Finding Balance:If the citizens of Heart Realm wished to build a library, they would have to fund it themselves after at least three of them become friends with the king.
gOverload: I would have the choice of evicting all the families in Heart realm except the royal household and beginning a repopulation program with sims that have careers in the arts or seek to have a pleasurable life, or I could demolish every commercial lot and rebuild areas for more hardworking, money orientated sims. I would also have to consider the impact on my royal family and their careers/aspirations. Would they even stay on the throne? Would they take the artsy subjects to a new world?
