Day & Knight Gen 5 CAST ANNOUNCED!

(I got really carried away with Ashton wow. Sorry if he's not exactly what you're looking for, but I hope you like his backstory!)

Name: Mariana Sala

Age: 25

Traits: Geek, Goofball, Cheerful

Background info?: Mariana (nicknamed Mari) was born outside of the US and English isn't her first language. She moved because of a flood in her hometown that would take years to remedy, and her family was helped by some kindly people and it's influenced her caring nature.
She struggles a little sometimes with her English.
She's not too hurt by laughter, though, and sometimes she's the first to laugh. Being actually made fun of does frustrate her, but she's a very non-confrontial person and will often just take it without saying a word. She's a pushover in other things, too, and doesn't like arguing, and will often just give up while arguing with someone, even if it means saying something like 'you're right,' when she still vehemently disagrees.

She likes making people react positively, whether that's a laugh, smile, or blush. The last reaction she aims for can make some people think she's flirting, which can get extremely awkward.

She's a history nerd and especially enjoys dramatized adaptions, but unfortunately usually only remembers minuscule details and didn't do very in social studies.

Mariana has difficulties understanding other points of view and has difficulties with empathizing in that regard. Whenever someone disagrees with her, she often takes it as a personal attack. She has difficulties asserting herself and stepping outside of her comfort zone as well.

She's incredibly idealistic and believes in the idea of a soulmate, hoping to find her's someday.

Name: Ashton Pressley

Age: 25

Traits: Music Lover, Perfectionist, Creative

Background Info?: Ashton was an illegitimate child, born after his father cheated. The story behind was much more complicated, though.
His eventual half-brothers got involved in crime and were arrested on multiple occasions and because of their mother's reputation as an extremely skilled lawyer, she was able to either let them get off easily or let them get off scot-free.This caused a rift between his parents, his father believing that people should be punished according to the crime they committed, and not the lawyer's personal opinion or connection to them. His wife argued that they were his sons and she'd assured that nobody knew of her connection to the two young men. There was an intense screaming match and many bowls and plates were broken. after the argument, his father left in a fury and met up with another woman. The two grew closer and closer after each loud argument between his father and his wife until it reached a high and his father cheated. The woman told him three months later that she was pregnant, and Ashton's father continued seeing her, planning to break up with his wife eventually.
He never did, partly out of fear that she'd destroy his life with her status,
Ashton was five when the two sons involved in crime who caused the whole ordeal in the first place were killed in a robbery gone wrong, and his father's wife got into a lot of hot water after her bias was discovered.

They split, and his father married the woman he'd cheated with. They moved out of state with their young son, and Ashton has lived a fairly regular life since.

Unfortunately, because of his mother's fame, everyone knew of the affair and he was quickly dubbed a b*astard child.
He turned to music to vent, as well as many other arts.
Desperate to make it big and clear his name in an ordeal that he was so young during, he spent forever working on anything he created.
He finally finished a song after working on it for what'd felt like forever, and he performed it, catching the attention of some other aspiring musicians. They haven't quite formed a band yet, but some of the stigma against him has been removed as Ashton distanced himself further and further from the affair and people start to notice him and the people he sometimes works with. Ashton is no longer the b*astard child, but a young, promising musician.

He's a little more on the cynical side of things, but a realistic sort. He knows that the worse side of life is far from the only side, but it's the side he tends to see most often and first.

He gets stressed very easily and often finds it easier to set his expectations for himself and other people extremely low so they're easy to overcome.

His relationship with his parents isn't strained, and he understands why his father cheated, even if vows to be as faithful and loving as possible- he might not believe in soulmates, but he goes into every relationship wanting it to work out in the long run.

(Of course, do whatever you want with these two! Really the only thing that I see as a definite in their futures is Ashton not cheating, but I'm surrendering them completely to you, so I have no idea how they'll end up. :lol:
