Margareth was asked to marry in the most beautiful and noble place in the city, many girls of that time dreamed of such a request and she had been the lucky one to get it.
Since most of the men were still at war, the city seemed strangely empty and sad. The death toll was growing more and more each day, taking the hope of many women who hoped that their husband or son would return.
The confirmation of her pregnancy did not make her very satisfied, despite being a kind and caring woman, Margareth did not wish to have children, even if that was absurd at the time. Not even the pregnancy of Grady's daughters made her happy, which resulted in extremely troubled months.
His marriage was in a hurry, Mitchell knew that his bride carried babies that were not his, but since her family was wealthy and would give him and his parents financial stability, he accepted.
The wedding took place in winter, before the babies were born and so that the belly was not in evidence, after all, what would they say about her if they knew she was pregnant with her dead husband? On the eve of her wedding, Margareth said goodbye to her beloved one last time.
Shortly after getting married, Margareth gave birth to two healthy girls, none of whom looked like her late husband. The girls had a good life and Mitchell decided to take them on as his legitimate daughters in order to help his family not fall out of favor.
Months after the first pregnancy, Margareth became pregnant, this time by her current husband, but even so she was not able to be happy with that. Over an afternoon tea, she decided to tell Mitchell that their first heir was coming.
