Parents having the option to give custodianship to assigned Sims would be awesome. I don't think the option should be just for after death though. I think parents should have the option to send their children to relatives or friends to be raised for how long you wish for them to be gone. They could live between houses. Maybe the children have different reactions to living away from parents.
