But a lot of different people can be a guardian, such as a grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, friend of the family, and lets face it, while you're a minor, your parents are your guardians.But godparent today doesn't necessary means religion-oriented as it once did..
It doesn't matter. It contains a religious term, thus isn't really all that compatible with a secular game.
But if the parents (player) were to die, or be unfit to raise the child would fall into the Godparent's/guardian's hands first instead of going into the system as an orphan.
