I know this comment is way late but man, I wish they would implement direct control more than anything. I mean there's a mod for pc out already and people clearly use it and enjoy the feature. Why not implement it for console users? I've heard so many people talk about how much they enjoyed the sims 2 on ps2 because of the direct control specifically. I think it would be a game changer and take me from more casual play to being totally addicted to the sims again. It's never going to be the same as pc, but if direct control was implemented I honestly wouldn't mind dishing out more money on expansions for console even though I plan on someday having a pc that can run the game.
