I read a lot of people complain about Sims having not much to do. But new activities, skills, careers and so on are added with every new pack.New Clothing and accessories are as well, but they don't do much about how different Sims are from each other.In order to make each Sim more unique, I would like to suggest a few things. - Likes and Dislikes. Allow us to pick a zodiac sign for our Sims that is separate from traits and affects certain things in his life. Also, we should be able to pick a culture to have our sims behave accordingly. What should I do if I want a sim to eat with chopsticks instead of a fork and bow down instead of waving the hand? With that, I would just pick the Eastern culture. With Eastern culture, A sim would act like how it is common and polite in china and japan. There would also be Western and Middleeastern culture selectable. And I would like to decide if my Sim is a lefty, a righty or can use both hands equally. (Forgot the Therm for it)- CAS Options.Clothing and Hairstyles are well and good. Keep them coming. But also...Add Body Hair. People have hair on their arms, their legs, their backs and chests. Maybe different hights? I am aware that adding hight differences makes it difficult to animate stuff, and you would have to recreate each animation for every hight and perhaps more, but it would make Sims more diverse. It could be 3 buttons instead of a slider as a compromise. I would also like more walkstyles that are less exagurated. I am alsowaiting for a limbing walkstyle. Also, the walkstyles should affect the way a Sim stands, sits, dances and more...More Traits are a must. The Gender Patch was a good thing, even though I was a bit angry because it broke mods. I think those additions would make the sim world and the sims much more alive.

What would make the game more alive is if these Sims had a personality. Traits should matter more than they do, but they don't and compared to TS2 and TS3 this game has hardly added any new traits, skills and or activities or new careers and or aspirations. One here and there doesn't cut the mustard.

EA said that Sims are more smarter because of multitasking. But this is not a trait of smart.The AI from the Sims in Sims 4 is more chaotic than in previous Releases. Best example is when Sims want to wash dishes. They run to the sinks from the Bath instead to use the Sink in the kitchen right next to the dinning table.

I'm iffy about the 'cultural' thing, though, as I suspect it would create a lot of potential minefields for the creators. I mean, how to define cultures and would people from those cultures be offended by those associations. Also, there is no such thing as 'Western' or 'Eastern' culture - I'm British, British culture isn't the same as American culture in a lot of ways, nor is it the same as European culture. And I've lived in Japan, and Japanese culture isn't the same as Chinese culture or Korean culture. And believe me, there's some feeling in that particular equation. I think the idea of more options is good but not terming them in the framework of our world. Just having the options 'eat with chopsticks' as an option for any sim to be selected or not selected (as an example) is probably less contentious, especially since the Sims is very fluid with ethnicity and names. I still would like hijab to be added to the clothing options because if we can have diwali stuff, Iand in the past, I think, menorah? Do we still have a menorah?) not to mention a Christmas tree...I don't see why a hijab is a problem, but I think (as with woohoo and plasma) terminology has to be carefully thought out...I like the idea of right or left handed or ambidextrous :) I'm naturally ambidextrous so that would be fun :) The thing I am most on board with, though, is the likes/dislikes. What would make the game more alive is if these Sims had a personality. I kind of like this idea, but I kind of want it a little different.
Rather than 'pick a culture', it might be better to 'pick cultural traits'

Eg.
Greetings:

raise arm to wave
raise hand in fingerwave
nod head
slight bow

Eating:

Use knife and fork
Place napkin on lap, use knife and fork
Use knife and fingers
Use chopsticks

Greeting friends/family:

Handshake
Hug
Cheek kiss

This is true.

Speaking of dancing, there needs to be more dance styles, like dancing with a partner, dancing while facing your group of friends.
Dancing with a partner could be as simple as just moving to the music, one with the arms on the shoulders of the other, the other with their arms around the waist of their partner, almost like a bad attempt at slow dancing. Or it could be a bit of bump and grind, like previous versions of the game had.

The thing I am most on board with, though, is the likes/dislikes. Especially in terms of chemistry. I would like to see them bring back the personality sliders, and mix that in with the current trait system.

For example, you would have "Nice...Mean", "Shy...Outgoing", and "Lazy...Energetic" sliders, and then get to choose a few traits, like "Loves the Outdoors" or "Genius" to provide more depth.

I think we currently don't have enough traits, and some of the traits (like Insider) just don't do enough and are only useful in very specific situations.

I agree about the likes and dislikes, as that would indeed help a little with differentiating sims and the way they are played. As for things like their favored hand or body hair, sure it might be cool, but in the end it's mostly cosmetic, so it wouldn't change that much for me. And I still really want new jobs, aspirations and activities.

Likes and Dislikes would do great in a Finding Love themed game pack. I miss the Chemistry System as it did give our sims their own individuality. They could even carry the Chemistry System over into a Sim's dating app, where we could customize our sim's dating profile by selecting the profile picture, setting up the likes and dislikes, favorites, their personality, turn on's and turn off's. Of course these characteristics would carry over into face-to-face social interactions. I also hope that add Fears and Desires as well. If they did add a Zodiac back into The Sims, it would be awesome if they came with advanced skill points so when our sim starts out they already have level 3 skills in, for example, Homestyle Cooking, Handiness and Logic.

Body hair would also be a great addition to a Finding Love GP, as physical attraction is also a key component in compatibility. Female sims should also come with body hair, since females also have hair on their arms, armpits and legs.

I admit that several of my suggestions are purely cosmetic, but I believe they still add a bit of diversity as the sims would become less similar, as they would not only look different from each other but use different animation sets.
The Sims team adds Divali stuff, Asian clothing, more than half of the sims in my game have either Indian or Japanese names or a combination of both, Sims can be transsexual or even hermaphrodites... The Sims-Team tries to be modern, inclusive and tolerant. Yet all the sims act like europeans or americans in a cartoon. With selectable culture in CAS, that could change. I said it would be different animations while eating, talking and other things. But its not limited to that.
Constantly apologizeing without real reason or unique, culture exclusive interations are also possible.
3 likes and 3 dislikes would be an improovement, but I hope for more. Perhaps several cathegories of likes and dislikes. Making a sim dislike skin colors or archetypes would make him a racist, so I doubt they would be willing to allow us that. But no matter how wrong it is, I would at least like to have the option.
Also, I like the fact that there are different walkstyles, but I would like if that would influence the way they stand and sit as well...

When it comes to content, I prefer quality over quantity, and I am not opposed to tradeing quantity for quality. I know that creating content is an efford, it costs time, money and involves a complicated proccess, and the Devs have only limited funds and have to work with a fixed sceduale. Therefore, I don't take those people seriously who keep demanding "more content, better content and all of that for less money" and complain about how there is not enough content and it costs too much and even go as far as to complain about the quality of the content, even though Sims 3 had really shitty quality content but in a large quantity. Compared to Sims 4 that is.
But don't take me wrong, I don't see Sims 4 as flawless. In fact I agree on a lot of criticism on the game. I just disagree on Sims 2 and 3 being so much better.

Zodiac signs as well as likes and dislikes could be a part of some dating and romance gamepack where online dating profiles work with those things. Such a Pack could also make the game differenciate between a crush, a loved one, friendzone... Zodiac signs could also become the base of horoscopes in some occult pack like a witches pack.
