Congratulations to those still going. Well done everyone else too. Quite a few of them and those still in this round didn't look stuck and I thought that was part of the brief. "As long as she’s stuck in a tiny location" I think it said or something like that. Oh well I think I'll stick to fashion comps, seem to do better in them. Don't think I'm up to the standard needed for these type of photography comps until I get to know more about what Photoshop can do. :) <3
The brief said trapped/stuck, so as long as they were "trapped" or "stuck" in the sense that they couldn't leave the location without major issues it fit the basics of the brief, however, several of the ones that didn't look all that stuck/trapped were commented on with "I wish you used the arms to make her look more stuck," etc. because it would have been preferred and even fit the brief better if they had. Almost everyone got that comment and Requirement points taken off for it. Requirements are only worth 5 points compared to the Creativity, Appearance, and Quality scores which are each worth 10, and technically each requirement is worth 1 point or so out of that 5 (or more depending the judge). Even though they could have done better in portraying the stuck/trapped requirement they still did better in the other categories that kept their scores afloat.
But don't be disheartened, this is a challenging modeling competition meant for Intermediate and Advanced (like I mentioned when promoting it, and technically more Advanced than Intermediate) and you did awesome throughout, even if it may not feel like it! I was impressed with your entries, especially A3, and you've been improving a lot (especially those shadows!). Just keep practicing!
Hopefully you finished the Photoshop tutorials I sent a while back btw? From Phlearn? Should cover most if not all of PS. I'll send the other tutorials I have too later, but unfortunately can't do that now due to limited time on the computer.
The brief in case you wanted to re-read it (it's under the Archive post).
Spoiler
Phew! Now that we’ve made it through that difficult photoshoot, it’s time to squeeze through another one! In this round we’re going big, at least your model is. ;) I want her large compared to her environment and stuck/trapped in a tiny place. Maybe it’s a tiny mall, a tiny house, a tiny club, tiny supermarket, etc. As long as she’s stuck in a tiny location and looks good doing it, I don’t care what you do! That means I’m leaving the styling, posing, and overall creativity to you. Remember, she still needs to be high fashion and editorial, but anything goes for your idea!
