Fences at the edges of the lot

ugh this is a huge pet peeve of mine when i'm building in the sims4. I really miss being able to put my fence along the edge of the lot. Having to be that one square away drives me crazy.

I can live with it, but I really would like it to change. I don't know if it's some technical reason that it has to be that way, but I hope they can change it sometime.

My biggest problem with it is when the grass is different color in the lot and outside it. Then I would like to build a fence to cover it but now it doesn't help because I can't get the fence in the border..

use the hedges, they cover up those never-quite-right-grasslines better than the fences do.

i would so love fences that go on the edge.

oh and more terrainpaint-options, especially the option to actually use the colors the devs used when coloring the rest of the world, my green just never gets green enough.

Yes. I was disappointed when the game would not allow me to place a fence along the edge of the lot. It showed red. Placing a fence one square away from the edge makes the backyard a bit smaller. Why the restriction?

this is one of my biggest building annoyances! since technically i own that square i should be able to build a fence on it, ergh...

I'm the same as @keFUNKNEY101 I can live with it but it would be cool if they changed it as sometimes it's just the look you want but can't do it

I would like to put fences on the edges of a lot too. Having to put them one tile in seems like an unnecessary waste of space to me. I can't see the point of it unless it would cause problems with routing along the paths outside the lot, in which case, leave them be. It's an annoyance that I can live with.
