- I just don't like it when things are part of a very specific story and then you feel weird using them for other purpose like for example i would rather have whichever kind of mermaid i want wherever i want being whoever i want instead of being stuck in some little mermaid universe playing with very specific characters in very specific story you can't really alter
thats how i feel batuu is because i have never been into star wars and i literally don't even know what i would do with that pack
only thing i could really see being combined with the sims in fun way is another maxis game like spore since it feels more so same realm
like sims spinoff where sims live on spore planet would probably just feel like your usual sims game but tad more chaotic - SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranI would so love:
Angels vs Demons
Camelot
Dragon Age
Doctor Who
Pixie Fairies vs Dark Fairies
Medieval Age
Star Trek (all versions)
Stargate (all versions)
Superheroes vs Supervillains - thornwillSeasoned RookieI like to think that it could be amazing if they used basic elements of a franchise and created an Sim version of it, with its own narrative, like what they did with Strangerville referencing Stranger Things and The Last of Us. What bothers me about Journey to Batuu (even being a Star Wars fan) is the fact that the pack doesn't allow the freedom we're searching for in the game.
- mightyspritesimsRising HotshotI'd rather play standalone games that offer TS4 style gameplay in the universe of those other characters.
For example, I'd love to play the Firefly characters, or create my own characters who interact with the Firefly characters, but I don't want to play them stuffed into the TS4 worlds where they live in the suburbs and go to the gym or the ski slopes or whatever. I want to play them traveling from planet to planet and dealing with much more severe hazards than we face in TS4. - No. The only exception maybe would be Barbie and Lego. Barbie for the storytellers and Lego for the builders.
- wildirishbansheeRising NoviceWell, we have a bunch of Dragon Age clothing - and I like that. They could add more content that way, but a pack I wouldn't want. Not a huge fan of branded content in the Sims anyway - Ikea was the exception.
- Briana2526Seasoned TravelerNo look how well Star Wars turned out in the Sims the worst pack ever.
- DaWaterRatNew VanguardI mean, I like the Star Wars pack, but there's no accounting for taste.
As for other Franchises, it really depends on which franchise and how it's done. The Star Wars Pack would probably have been a little better recieved if it had been less "Spin off that's not a Spin off" and more "Here, go to Disney's Galaxy's Edge Theme Park in the Sims!"
So what I think I'd want is more "Fandom Accessories" like the various t-shirts and stuff referencing other games, or the original Grogu statue, and stuff like that, rather than actual "Take your sim into this other Fictional world" stuff.
Even if I do like Batuu. - crocobauraSeasoned AceI suppose it depends on how it's implemented and what they offer. Logo T-shirts and stuff are no fun, I prefer gameplay items.
- SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranI like the Batuu pack also.?
