Please let me explain. My last post has been edited. The post delt with the issue of Elle's obsessive-compulsive disorder, which I suffer from in real life.
I'd like to apologize if it offended anyone, as that was certainly not my intention. Elle was laughing at herself and not making fun of anyone else.
But if I continue, finding a joke that doesn't imply mental illness won't be easy. lol
Give me some time to think about a new direction for Elle, and if I come up with anything I'll give it another shot.
I am rarely offended by humour...on the contrary, humour is vitally important to relieve a lot of real life angst and concern. Don't get me started on "offence culture"...
Only one time have I read a story on Sims Forums where I felt it was going in a worrying direction so I stopped reading it, and it wasn't a funny story either. I haven't reported it, that's not my style as I welcome freedom of expression as long as it doesn't encourage breaking the law. Do come back with your stories and soon, Elle, I love them.
Thank you, that was very kind of you to say. I've been thinking about using characters from my favorite movies and TV shows, but I think I'd feel locked in their pre-established personas.
I'll probably continue with Elle's story and just try to be more careful about the subject matter. Telling jokes has gotten me in a lot of trouble throughout my life. It's like walking in a dog park... sooner or later, you're going to step in it. lol
