In all seriousness though, this chapter made me mad. I am a feminist through and through--not that women > men, I am a firm believer in equality. The notion that women more or less saved the economy during WWII as riveters, and then were forced back into the kitchen without so much as a "job well done" boils my blood. Leo is going through something personal, possibly psychological, I get that. But Annie is a war veteran too! She and Leo are partners in this crazy thing we call life, he can certainly help out more with the children and around the house!

And I'm sorry, but Darin is just a deadbeat. He did not even serve in the war and he's a lazy piece of spit!! But Winnie's circumstances are different; she made her bed and is lying in it. But that doesn't give Darin any sort of excuse to neglect their child and treat her like a maid!

GAH!! I'm spitting venom and it's all thanks to you! :D A great writer can move one's emotions and make them feel passionately, so Ash, my gosh, applause all around!

As much as I hate to boil blood over topics like this (because I am right there with you, 110%!) I am happy to have instigated such passion and discussion on my blog :D <3 <3 I think in Leo's situation it's very much an issue of PTSD = not sleeping well = trying to work = having three kids, 2 of which are wild toddlers = a hecka lot of stress. He probably thinks Annie is more capable of handling the kids and home, because even though she did see a lot of bad stuff in that war, she's clearly shown that she's tougher than he is and can continue living her life without the struggles that he faces mentally and emotionally.

As for Darin... Yeeeah. He's a mean-traited Sim through and through, I think he actually insulted her when they met lol! We'll see Winnie and Samson again Tuesday <3
