Including "Farming lots" in any future farm pack a player can own as property.

I don't know if this is ever going to happen (a farm pack) but if it is, than I implore Maxis to introduce "farm fields" as a lot type that are literally just that - fields that are farmed on, that a player can own as property.

Why? For a couple reasons, first off in the sims 3 you introduced tractors but they take up so much space/their roads that you literally have to turn your entire property into a farm that surrounds a house - and by that I mean it doesn't leave room for anything else like a pool or heck even lounge chairs. By separating farming area into its own lot, a player can have their farm house in its own lot and leave it to go farming in another lot.

This is very very true to real life btw speaking as a farmer. While I can look out my back window to see a field, directly behind my house is actually my backyard and a fence beyond that which separates the fields from my house "property". On that note most farmers farm multiple fields as well and some even sell them off so realistically it makes sense.

As a sims player it would also allow you to change farming mechanics slightly too by allowing sims to "plant fields" by laying down strips that a tractor drivers over rather then alongside (aka again like in real life) where in the Sims 3 the tractor drove alongside the planted areas.

I not only think this would be more realistic and would work better from a gameplay point of view by introducing machinery but also free up the home lot from being overcrowded with backyard items and farmer fields.

That is assuming such a pack is being made.

Personally, I think they should introduce 80X80 & 100X100 lots for farming in the base game. Have an Expansion Pack that is full farming gameplay, CAS & objects with an old western feel to it.
