There is a big push for an EDUCATION pack with all ages of schooling and night classes and internet Uni.
I didn't know that. Do you think the developers might try an education based pack, or might they go for a traditional university pack?
It's a popular want.
A uni pack would be great, but an education pack would be better.
We've been to uni with our sims twice now, and many players would love to do it again. But why leave the teens and kids out of it? Why not send them to school? It's a question a lot of players have been asking for quite some time.
It could be a bit like GTW, where you can send your sims to get their education on their own, or you could follow them.
I disagree with the first part of your OP, uni is still relevant.
Would you trust a doctor or scientist who hasn't been to uni? What about a teacher, lawyer, dentist, accountant, or engineer who hasn't been to uni? So why don't our sims with those sorts of careers need a better education?
I suppose you have a good point about STEM careers and other similar careers. When it comes to liberal arts, though, perhaps the sims shouldn't go to school to pursue those sorts of degrees, since those degrees aren't exactly useful? That's just what I've noticed, though. Goodness, many teaching jobs are actually becoming obsolete, which is sad and unfortunate, but also true.
