Knock First Door Option

I wasn't talking about the front door or guests. I'm referring to bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, etc. I would love to see an option to designate rooms and have that room treated as such. However, I don't think that is possible for the sims 4.

I wish they would bring doorbells back.

I so agree, I would love for the doorbells to be in Sims 4.

doorbells and doorknockers would be cool, maybe if you have one and the lot is haunted it will randomly ring.

I would love a doorbell and no strangers walking randomly into your home. Yes most guests stand nicely outside until you invite them in, but my sims have found complete strangers taking a bath in their tub and once in a rental a stranger walked in and started preparing food! The weirdest part of that is that there is no way to get angry with them or tell them to leave before greeting them first. I have to say if I found a random man in my bathtub, my first response wouldn't be "Hi, and who might you be? Nice to meet you!"

And I agree that it would be nice to have your sim easily lock the bathroom door behind them. It's bizarre how much sims seem to run to the bathroom for no apparent reason, especially if someone is in there. Then they get all shocked when seeing them naked. Exactly what do they think people are doing in the bathroom? A way to designate a door to "bathroom door" and then having sims automatically lock it behind them when going in would be great.

I would also love if dorm room doors were locked for those not living in the room. I had to manually lock the door to all rooms for my sim when she was at uni because she picked up the habit of walking into her roommates' rooms and sit on their beds whenever she'd eat, especially when her roommates were sleeping.

I would love this feature added to door options. It could be customizable just like locking doors for certain sims. So certain sims in the house have to knock first before entering the room you have set this for. Great for roommate situations!!

Guests usually wait at the door until you invite them in, so I think there is some sort of knocking even though we can't hear it.

I think you right but I hear knocking most the time. I even see a knocking animation.

the thing is it really doesn't make sense if theres no one in the room

or maybe that would make the room only available if there is someone in there... yeah idk how that would work :sweat_smile: greet everyone going to bathroom? :lol:

I think we need a doorbell too, or a really loud door knocker maybe.
