New Career Ideas!

I would like to see an add-on to get to work, something where we can go to work with our sims and work for as long as we want.

I would like to see an Education career.

We really need to bring back the self employment system. Oh yes, and a active career in factory work.

I would like to see more involvement with the current careers the game offers. It doesn't have to be a 3D environment either. A 2D office setting with choices on what you want your sim to do would be neat.

For example, if you are employed as a programmer, you can sit at your desk and work. Or you can go to the coffee maker and chat with coworkers. Or you can use the washroom or slack off.

It's completely up to you! And on the bright side, at least it's not a rabbit hole.

rabbit hole simple jobs with no goals- there are times you just want a simple paycheck. ;)

House builder- this was on a survey <3 <3 <3

childsitter- like in S3, nanny career open for us to do

They'd be handy. With job titles like fast food worker, sales assistant, and factory worker. The stuff that average people do to make a living. Not a career, just something to put food on the table. They'd also be useful in variations of a poverty challenge.

I would like to have the architecture or design career back in action. I loved that career in the Sims 3.

Yes, please give us more full Go to Work careers!

and second on my list is an official Go to School add on. As pupil and as a teacher. (And it seems this is a wanna have for many others too. See: forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/887928/school-game-pack/p1 and forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/909173/do-you-think-well-ever-get-a-teacher-career/p1 - sorry I can´t post real links, yet.)

Also I´d like to see the following carrers to come true:

Fashion designer career (this would be a great way to bring self designed (to be true self adjusted) clothing to the game)

Furniture design career (this would be a great way to bring self designed (to be true self adjusted) furniture to the game)

Interior design career (this would be a great way to bring self designed (to be true self adjusted) wallpapers, flooring and carpets to the game)

Ballett career (in which you start as a dancer and end as a famous coreographer owning the dance studio)

Musician career (either as a popstar career or as a career in classical music with a full Orchestra)

Diva career (either as a popstar or as an opera singer)

Zookeeper/vet carrer (fits right in with the speculated pet expansion)

Flower shop/Market Garden owner (I can see many fun things here - from doing arrangements, going to the flower market to get the most beautiful flowers at the best price, to winning the prize for the most beautiful orchid ...)

Hotelier career (it sure would be fun to work your way up from chaimbermaid to hotel chain CO)

Fireman career

Spa manager career (Spa day brought us all those great things, why not as an career option? One could make one with the stuff already included in the Gameplay-pack or add new stuff like painting fingernails, a solarium etc.)

And I could think of even more. ;)

The ideas are good one but I rather not have to follow my sim to work all the time-it gets boring after awhile having to repeat the same thing over&over and over again just to get promote and you can't get any promitons if you don't actually follow them. I rather a)have non seeable rabbit holes or b)have something like City Living careers with the option to stay at home. I also wish with the retail section of GTW and the Dine out Restaurant section we could at least make one of our employees assistant manager/manager so they can run the store/restaurant without you being there.
