School had been hard, today. She’d been polite, even friendly, but being the new girl wasn’t something she’d had to experience before. A couple of girls had even had their conversation around her desk, ignoring her while they gossiped about Mia Michaels, the socialite who’d been seen having dinner with Arthur Feng.
“I heard they’re actually dating! Look at these pictures!” A magazine had been held up triumphantly. “Didn’t you see it on Simsta this morning, Sofia?”
“Meh, no.” The blonde girl had rolled her eyes. She’d seemed disinterested, but in a way, she almost seemed to lead the conversation. “Besides, Mia Michaels isn’t that impressive. She just looks good in a photo. Luna told me that at that big party they had, Mia and this guy from Luna’s school snuck off into the garden.”
The gossip had gone on like that, while the whole group just ignored Selena’s existence, piling their things on her desk until she had no space for her own things. Still, it was better than open hostility, and she was glad to be back home.

It's a short update today! I know I'm writing this later, but Selena went to school and met some classmates. Apparently even with her homework being done, it's not enough to raise her grades...well, I probably should have expected that given that she's not been building many skills.
With her home, it was time to use the Simmi machine again!

Seriously, I'm wondering if this poor girl is genuinely cursed, what with this and the lightning.

However, I did manage to score a couple of golden Simmis, so, tada, we have an empty little nine square room! She'll still be in the tent until I can make it a little bigger, but this means we can soon stop using public bathrooms. Joy, celebrations, etc.
