You've seen those home renovations shows....so you know that not every house is ready for you to put your design spin on it, right? Some are worse than others..... :D So that is what this is about… R...
Hello, we are the Shaffer family. We are looking to renovate our boring beige home before moving in. While I, Jeffery, like beige and tan for clothing options. I want my house to be seen when others drive on our street. The previous owners took care of the yard because they were the outdoorsy type, we are the entertaining kind. We want to have soirees. I have worked hard to get to the point in our lives and we want to show it. Hi, I am Amy, I am need a place to park my minivan because we have 3 children to look after. I would prefer a modest kitchen but for the sake of my husband please have a dining area big enough to sit 10-12 people. Our children, Clark is an outdoorsy person (lol), Cade is more like his dad and Collen is a handful. We also need a room for my father in law, Conard.
Reconfigure the floor plan of the bedroom wing to accommodate Jeffery, Amy, Conard, Collen and 2 bathrooms.
Create 2 beds rooms and a bathroom in the basement for Clark and Cade.
Jeffery = (+) brown, black, gray, research/debate, writing, mixology; (-) boho, cosmolux, farmhouse, island and shabby decor
Amy = (+) purple, cooking, baking, gardening
Conard = (+) gray, gardening, handiness, painting and fishing
Collen = (+) orange and blue, piano and violin
Clark = (+) green, gardening, handiness and fishing
Cade = (+) brown, black, white, piano; (-) red

Fancy Bar for entertaining guest.
Clean out the garage so Amy can park her minivan. Maybe spruce it up a bit too.

Outdoor entertainment space
Add some color to the exterior
Any removed trash, plumbing, walls, and floors do not count toward your budget. Any windows, doors, appliances, and furniture do count towards the budget. If there is already a pool/fountain on the property, shrinking or removal counts toward your budget.
Landscape Style: Whichever goes with the exterior style
Description: I tried my best with this home but ran out of money before anyone even had beds. So, due to the "Traditional elegance" standards that the family desired I gave them the option to take out a mortgage to pay for the extra expense. They decided that would be in their best interests. ( I did plant them a money tree to help offset the expense). I was able to update the exterior roofing and in the process discovered that there was a floor hidden up there and was able to add a second level for the children's bedrooms, thus giving Conrad his own in-law suite in the basement. I added a dining room that seats 12 with a large bar as well. I cleaned out the garage and added a flower arranging table for the gardeners and a woodworking bench for Clark. I gave the family a pool as well as a hot tub. I added a beautiful outdoor entertaining space; complete with a pizza oven, game table, bar, loungers, and a elegant fire pit area. I even gave Colleen a tree house.
WOW, AlJay2000 I almost didn't recognize the original build. This is an awesome reno. The firepit is my favorite. Conrad's basement suite is great! The butler's pantry is a nice addition. Very nice reno.
