Rebuilding Worlds Vol. 2

Hey guys! I've been picking up extra shifts at work this week because one of my co-workers is sick now. BUT I've been working morning shifts, which are so slow that I can usually sneak in some sims time :lol: So I should have an update later today, but first, comments!

@Rhythrin I don't blame Luana for gravitating toward her mermaid grotto -- it's amazing, I'm still in awe of it. Aylene has quite the attitude with Luana...but of course she turns into the perfect angel for her dad :tongue: Omg Kidra is too cute!! :love: And he doesn't look nearly as difficult as Aylene, so I'm declaring him as my fav :sweat_smile: Okay, Aylene is much more tolerable as a sweet, studious child lol. Ooo I see her swimming in mom's grotto...I wonder if she'll inherit the mermaid gene?? :smiley: Eeee another nooboo on the way! Congrats! So far, Kidra is still my fav looks-wise. You just made him too cute with that messy hairstyle and the blush! But I'll save my final judgments til I see kid #3 / all of them as teens+, cause it's so hard to tell before then.

@Heckstress17 I thought about turning aging off while Haven was in uni, and I might do it next generation, because yeah it eats up an entire life stage. I really wanted Aiyden and Iris to watch their grandkids grow up, but they aged up into elders not long after the wedding (I gave them potions of youth right before Haven moved out/started university, so it ate up their entire second adult stage too) :disappointed:

Yesss I love when you go on a building binge! The restaurant is AMAZING. I don't get the name reference, but thanks for subtly introducing me to a new netflix show -- I'll add it to my watch list :wink: But seriously, it's PERFECT for Evergreen Harbor. I love that it has a coffee bar instead of a normal bar -- it makes it so much more versatile. I can picture so many first dates happening there :blush: I LOVE that all of the alternate dimension Greenes are working there :joy: Now I really want a restaurant in my game but I'm so tired of building :tired_face: What if we do a trade...you use my community space, and I use your restaurant, at least until we both get more motivation to build our own :sweat_smile: OKAY HOLD THE PHONE you said your house was a mess, and girl it is FAR from it! I like it better than mine! Why you always gotta do that to me... :lol: Those outdoor lights are perfect...I'm totally stealing them next time I'm in-game :sweat_smile: Seriously all of it is so perfect, but the living room, kitchen, laundry room, Fawn's room, and basement workshop are my fav rooms. I love that you turned that weird upstairs 'sitting area' into an office -- great idea! I eventually turned mine into a play room for the kids, but it feels weird that it's super colorful and kid-ish right outside the master bedroom :tongue: (I keep telling myself Haven and Suri are family sims so they don't mind :lol: ) Yessss outfit tours! I love all of them omg -- all of Fawn's everyday outfits are my favs of hers, and then just everything about Jonas. Jonas is my new fav sim ever lol. A green fiend bad boy? Plz marry me Jonas *insert drool emoji*

@Mionax Aww look at how happy Aiyden looks to be a grandpa! I love it.

@Wentcrazy Yay updates!! Aiyden and Iris are so so cute in their work uniforms. I had them working from home so much that I didn't really get to enjoy it in my game, so I love seeing them in yours. LOL all of that laundry and Aiyden angry-stomping around the house because of it...too relatable :lol: :bawling: I love how alike our games are -- Aiyden was constantly repairing or upgrading stuff, and Iris was constantly playing with the cowplant before it starved to death in my game too :blush: Lol Iris arguing against a cleaning schedule is the most Iris thing ever -- she complained about ANY cleaning I made her do in my game -- I forced her to do laundry, mostly, cause girl that's your fault :lol: Aiyden put on weight in my game too! I just let him be chubby and happy, he seemed to like it that way and Iris didn't complain :lol: Preggo Iris is the cutest Iris, she's just so precious with her bump :heart: ...even if she hates it :lol: Good for Aiyden for stepping up and trying to make her feel better, little moments like that made me not hate him & his mood swings. A baby girl -- congrats!! I can't wait to see her cute toddler self :blush:

@IllusoryThrall I get what you mean about the skill grind being too boring for pics, like how many times can I make the exact same animation look interesting? :lol: Green Initiatives is a great NAP! Especially for Iris. I think a lot of the NAPs are super buggy...I have Promote Creative Arts active right now, and I'm about to vote it out because I'm sick of townies playing with clay and drawing tablets 24/7 (Suri had HUNDREDS of blobs of clay in her inventory when I moved her in with Haven! I mass sold them for like 6k simoleons and cheated the money away because it felt way too cheat-y). I haven't even bothered with Sharing is Caring because of the problems @debjameswhite and @OJenn had with their stuff going missing all the time. Yayyy nooboo time!! :smiley: LOL sorry Aiyden, it's for science :wink: And of course he got spit back out into a pile of laundry :joy: Congrats on a baby girl! :blush:

@Kiwicantdie Yesss we're so doing Sulani after Evergreen Harbor :smiley: I re-started in Willow Creek when you came back and everyone else re-started there too, cause it's just more fun when everyone's on the same world so you can compare builds and mates and all. I want to go back and do Willow Creek again someday, but I'm enjoying this new challenge sooo much right now, so I'm not gonna force myself & end up losing motivation on both :lol:

@Heckstress17 - You really did a phenomenal job on the house plan and totally picked up on why I picked that one for that lot. It works no matter which side you're looking at. I still haven't decided on a plan yet so your miles ahead of me haha. EA has a real problem with making one shade of white, sometimes its light grey and sometimes its undertone blue-white. Jonas reminds me of my husband he only wears ONE color and it's black :lol: Fawn's outfits are basically how I am living in the world of quarantine, comfort first!

@illusorythrall - Hooray for nooboo time! I love how excited iris is sharing the news. And Aiyden is probably an honorary snack for cowplants everywhere, poor guy. I love the name Mackenzie, the randomizer did good with that. Haha get some rest and I can't wait to see your next update, sometimes the sims is just too fun.

@Wentcrazy - Iris is practically glowing with happiness in the first pics. I wonder if she will still be able to make time for her first baby when the little one arrives. And how cute is her little name I love it!

@Wentcrazy Welcome Faith Greene! Careful Aiyden, one day that first 'baby' isn't going to spit you back out. Good update. :smile:

@OJenn Seeing Jade's Uni experience gives me the wish that I'd sent Mariam through Uni. Perhaps later or the next heir can do so. I enjoyed seeing the living at campus pics so far. Your update was good. Great grades Jade got. A+ for her and A+ for your update. :smile:

@everyone - Thank you all for the lovely comments on my builds :heart: :blush: I figured replying to everyone at once would be easiest, and give everyone a lot less to read since it's pretty obvious I love to talk :lol: Anyway, It makes me so happy to get such positive feedback. Lately building has not been something I've wanted to do lol so it's good to know the restaurant and house aren't viewed as a complete mess :lol: I usually like decorating but lately that too has felt overwhelming. Probably because I've been away from the sims for so long. I'm hoping I get back into the swing of things though. And I am having a ton of fun playing, posting, and interacting with everyone on this thread :heart: So thank you everyone for helping me enjoy my game again :heart:

@IllusoryThrall - Great update! I understand what you mean about sims skilling to be a bit boring, but I actually don't mind seeing pics of other peoples sims doing mundane things. Green Initiatives makes Evergreen Harbor look so pretty! That's a must have NAP for me. I love that Fall meant it was baby time for your Greene's. I usually set little mini deadlines for stuff like that too. I get nervous now when I see any cowplant pictures :lol: I'm still not totally convinced Aiyden is safe, but it's good to see that for now he is. Though Iris probably wanted to feed him to the cowplant again after hearing he quit his job right before the baby was due :lol: LOL Aiyden's face through the delivery room window was great. Thankfully little Mackenzie made it into the world unharmed. :blush:

@Wentcrazy - Aw! Iris looks so happy to be woken up in the middle of the night to learn she's expecting. She's got the right attitude for sure. Even if it's clear the pregnancy made her feel pretty awful physically. I felt bad for Aiyden though :lol: He tried so hard to cheer her up. It's just the hormones, she'll be back to normal soon! His pre-parental freakout was warranted, but I agree I wish there was a better variety of reactions. Just once I'd like to see a sim Dad be calm and composed for his wife's sake. Welcome baby Faith! I can't wait to see how she ages up. And to see if Iris' other baby (her beloved cowplant) adjust :wink:

@JordanNicoleJJ - Extra work shifts are both good and bad. Good for you because obviously more money, bad for me, cause no sims bestie updates :bawling: I am 100% down to do a community lot trade! I flat out refuse to build anymore and I loved your community center. Gimme gimme gimme! And I'll upload the restaurant for you. "You" is a pretty decent Netflix show, the main guy is a total creeper who thinks he knows best for this girl he's in love with/stalking and he ends up killing people but trying to justify it lol it's kinda crazy. But in Season 2 he takes a job at this hippie market store named Anavrin and I was like that's so pretentious, but I kinda love it :joy: So thus Anavrin the restaurant came to be. And I swear I like your Gen 2 house waaaaay more then mine. I keep building way too big. I need someone to convert the square footage on these floorplans to sims squares cause the dimensions are killing me :grimace: I try to focus on making the outside look like the reference pic, then by the time that's done I start messing with rooms inside and realize it's huge... and starting over is just not an option. My patience is non existent right now lol Oh and remember those split stairs I was so proud of? Well I started playing and my sims couldn't go upstairs so I had to move and rework them. I wanted to throw my laptop across the room :bawling: Building is hard :bawling: Anyway, I wish you luck sneaking sims time in at work. I'm dying to see Suri and Haven's little one. I know what they have because it's already born in my game. :wink:

@Mionax - I'm totally gonna steal Miram and Alek! I love that the Grandparents to be visited. Even if Aiyden's little personality quirk reared it's ugly head. Mariam just waving him away was too funny :lol: Like time to go Dad. Mariam's knitting skill is coming along quickly :smiley: and her garden looks great. I just love seeing sims garden. Poor Mariam looked so uncomfy while tending to the bees. The 3rd trimester is rough. I'll pretend Alek kept his cool during Amira's arrival lol in the last few pics he seemed to have composed himself.

@OJenn - Aw, Jordan flirted with Jade! That's saying something since he's unflirty. It's meant to be :wink: Wherever they had their date at was beautiful. The University housing is gorgeous too :love: I loved the little tour of the campus that you gave. Her roommate seems like a handful lol but whoever that girl was she was chatting to is so pretty! omg I loved how both Aiyden and Iris' phonecall's showed their differing personalities. Iris all loving and motherly, Aiyden peeved off about a neighbor :lol: No one tells Aiyden Greene to calm down. Well except maybe Iris lol Jade seems to be doing very well at school. I need tips. Fawn is struggling lol I only just discovered you can study on the computer.

@Heckstress17 Great update! Its good that Fawn is doing well in school and the fabricator is behaving itself. For now. I was delighted to see my Ashton working at the restaurant. :smile: Grats on their engagement. They look so happy.

Sooo I ended up playing all day instead of writing that update I promised :sweat_smile: So I'm doing that now! But I figured I'd comment while I wait for pics to upload to wordpress.

@Mionax I love that Aiyden and Iris came to visit! Aiyden sure did show his hot-headed side :flushed: Not cool, Aiyden! Alek is so sweet & helpful, I love him! Eeee baby time!! Congrats on a baby girl :heart:

@Wentcrazy I had them work from home to work on their skills for a promotion. It usually worked out well -- they had a couple quick tasks and boom, done for the day. But the cowplant is basically necessary for Iris, and she couldn't always complete her tasks due to being pregnant or already 'drained' (not risking it lol). So it was hit or miss, but overall I recommend it! I tried to keep them 'fit' with yoga and occasional jogging. I honestly don't think it did anything :lol: I can't wait for your next update!

@OJenn Jade and Jordan are so perfect :heart: Also I love that date spot you sent them to -- all of the foliage is beautiful! WOAH...now that's some gorgeous student housing :open_mouth: I love seeing Jade's college experience, you captured it perfectly. Awww I'm glad she visited home, Iris and the pup looked so happy to see her :blush: Straight A's -- you go girl!

@Heckstress17 First of all I started watching You when I got home from work, and I'm already on season 2 :lol: It's so addictive! Thanks again for the suggestion lol. I'll upload the community center after I post this. I think I have to upload it as 4 separate parts, and you'll have to place it in build mode from manage worlds and cycle through the different lot types as you download them (you'll see what I mean). Let me know if you find anything funky with it, and feel free to tweak it to your needs. I've only played on the market version, so Idk what, if anything, is broken/weird :lol: I feel you on the building though. After I saw your version of the house, I went in and tweaked a couple things (mostly my entrance area). Some of the rooms -- mostly bathrooms -- are just obnoxiously large, and the laundry room is way too small because of the stairs :tongue: So I definitely feel your pain on needing the "sims dimensions" :lol: Ooo I wonder if Suri & Haven had the same kid in both of our games! Or maybe it's random...I guess you'll find out when you read my update :wink: And yay another update! You spoil me :blush: You really did get amazing genetic mixes with Silas and Fawn. I'm a little jealous lol. Jonas is just so cool. He's got the bad boy vibe, he's gorgeous, AND he's handy? Fawn got herself a good one. Ahhhh congrats on the proposal! (Like we didn't all know it was coming :lol: But I still got excited lol.) The last pic is so perfect -- the flowers in the background, Jonas' cheesy smile, Fawn's cute outfit (I love those boots!!), everything :heart:
