I've tried re-building the wall, using the room tool to make sure it's a room. Painting singular pieces, whole walls (alt) and whole rooms (shift) but it still won't work. Any ideas? I'm betting I'm just being brainless but it's just escaping me at the moment.

Ok I just tried that on my house, it didn't change any wall as long as the roof wasn't higher than the room walls, if I made it higher it replaced the walls. So make it a little bit shorter it should solve the problem. I use move objects but I don't think it changes anything there.

That did it! I had to change the roof trim to a darker colour because the white looked odd and only had to tweak the roof pieces down a touch and it's all working as I wanted it to. Now each bedroom has two tiles of extra room! Thanks so much :smiley:

@KategKateg, you have to have walls up selected to see roof of the highest level in your build... The roof is there nonetheless, if you have walls down or partly up, even if you don't see it.

Wouldn't it be easier to have an empty room like the other ones you have and put the roof above it ? I'm guessing the custom tool doesn't work to change the style of the roof/wall ?

That's what I've done in the other rooms, It's all 4 corners of the house (Pic underneath), but it eats a lot of limited space, hence the curtain in the nursery. https://i.imgur.com/fUu1fcI.png

Please someone help! I can add roofs on ground level builds but when I get to the second level my roof disappears when I go off build mode into just walls!
