Alright, I survived the first week this time! It required a lot of sleeping on couches.

Veronica eventually threw herself upon the mercy of the Pancakes and crashed there for two nights or so. My rule when mooching off Sims is to always cook party sizes of meals, so that they get paid back somehow.

I decided to make things harder for Veronica - because she's a collector, I felt that she wouldn't want to let go of her collectibles, so I only sell duplicates. Breeding expensive frogs helped quite a bit, but I didn't end up with nearly as much money at the end of the week than my first try. She did get a nice garden going, which helped with money and food - though I think it's a bit too unruly, so I will probably get rid of half of the plants at the end of week two.

Before buying/renovating (I assumed planting directly into the ground was allowed)

After renovations. I'm using paintings to keep track of my weeks - you can see the nice little dinosaur hanging out outside the bathroom.
It's really challenging to only be able to buy items once a week. Keeping Veronica's needs up was tough. Satisfaction points were easy though, with the collector aspiration set. I wasn't sure if the youth potions counted as buyables, but I went ahead and just put all of my points into Potions of Youth on buying day.
What are the rules regarding other potions/rewards? Can we buy them if we feel we have enough points, or are we restricted to Potions of Youth?
