Here are photos of Tyrone & Ann Pleasant's home in Britechester. I kept the original Pleasant home build but remodeled each floor to make it more family friendly and put the staircases in an out-of-the way corner to get more usable space, especially on the main floor. Put a basement in for future use with space for family/rec room and future bedroom and bath. Am sharing the room photos here and plan to use 'overview' type photos to get the layout of each floor.
This is the new exterior siding and windows of Tyrone & Ann's home in Britechester. Much of the decor in the house uses a combination of their favorites: Basics, Boho, French Country, Vintage, Garden, Patio, Island, Queen Anne and Suburban. Ann also likes the Industrial style that hasn't fit in, yet. May do the basement room with that style in mind.
The back view shows the before and after looks of the house since it was built like the one next door.
The next few photos show the entry hallway with a bar area at the back and computer desk at the bottom of the stairs below.
This is the open living/kitchen room where Ann is enjoying a good book.
These two photos show the upstairs landing/family area.
Katie's room
Tyrone's master bedroom with access to the upstairs balcony.
Main floor bathroom with laundry
This is the newly decorated future nursery. Tyrone decided take advantage of 'Rebate Day' to decorate the room now and have it ready for when his family started to grow.
The third floor family room is still a work in progress but has various hobby areas. A fireplace will be added with other family items at some point.
That's all for now and hope you've enjoyed this walk through of Tyrone & Ann's home.
In the two new saves I started, I was able to place Chez Llama, a game spa and a gallery house on the lot next to Comfy Cozy and was able to put one of deannacarver's parks in Newcrest and place a household from Simslover163 in the house to help populate the world a little. Then went I went into another lot to add the next build it wouldn't even load and was given an error and notice to restart the game. I don't think there were Sim paintings in the builds.
When beginning a new game save, I like to add one venue lot in each of Newcrest's sections along with two house builds either from the regular, friends or my gallery and then have one of the houses occupied. I leave the other builds for townies to move in. In each game save I tried, it seemed to be a different lot that started the issue. Even repairing the game didn't work. I don't use any CC or mods.
Guess, it's not meant to create extra game saves for now. If my husband gets the new laptop working right, I may try again but will probably start everything fresh. Could try to build up Newcrest over time, as well.
It may be the home that you are placing on the lot that is causing the issue. Try testing the lot with different homes and see if the crashing issue remains. Also, having paint by reference paintings or photos that your sims have taken on the walls can also sometimes cause issues.Removing them from homes may help. Also, if you use mods/cc,try moving the whole mods folder to another place, delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.
Hope you all had a good day. It looks like I won't be able to create my Valley Orphan game save because when I try to build up Newcrest there's seems to be a random lot that crashes the game when going into build mode to put a house on it especially in a new save. For that reason, I'll just stay with the two game saves as is but will still share my 'Orphan' households from both Valley Ventures and Silverford Valley games saves in Valley Orphans. The Phan siblings will not be joining the orphan households because they apparently aged to young adult during my last game play with Katie. I have moved into a smaller ranch home with stables since Malia wants to be a championship rider while her twin brother loves horses and is a rancher.
There seems to be a lot of glitches regarding sharing lots and adding lots in new game saves especially in Newcrest at the moment, so I leave everything as is for now.
Have a great night! Will be visiting with Tyrone & Ann Pleasant in my game tonight. Hope to share some photos of the remodeling job I did on the Pleasant home in Britechester
Ever since I started doing the 16 hour interment fast, walking more and eating better my sugar are now running in the prediabetic range and I've lost most of the extra weight I had gained over the past year or so. Hope to be able keep myself healthy this time and not have to take Metformin anymore. I also take supplements that help with sugars like Cinnamon, Apple Cider Vinegar, Vitamin B1 to help keep my sugars stabilized.
Thanks for your comments on Katie's Story. Hope you enjoyed the story I made up for Coal based on the brainstorming in I did when introducing him in one of my posts here and the fact the game does not have a parent in his genealogy so I went him as being very young when he lost his mother. Sometimes when I post the 'candid' photos here, the ideas for their story start pouring out. Same when I introduced Orson Lorford in one of those photos. I'll probably build from that when it comes time to post his family's story in Valley Ventures.
Sometime today, I plan to get my Valley Orphans game save started with the latest orphan teen siblings, Malia & Preston Phan since they will be starting fresh in the new game. May also try piecing together the rooms for Coal house in that save as well to see how it works out. Since it's a pain to have to share every room, nook and cranny so-to-speak for each of the current Orphan Sim houses, I may just leave them as is and move any new orphans to Valley Orphans for now until lots are able to be shared or saved.
Anyways enough rambling for now and hope that you have a Marvelous Monday!
I am glad that you have been able to get your sugar levels down to stabilise your diabetes so that you can find reading easier. Sending hugs to you as live with your diabetes ❤️
Just stopping by to invited you to read orphan Katie Roswell's story in Valley Orphans and enjoy her birthday party. Decided to let Katie tell her story in the first person. Hope you all enjoy it.
In other happy news, I've been able to get my sugars down enough (from Type 2 diabetes) to be able to read again without glasses unless it's really small print by doing some lifestyle changes.
I really love the contrasting color and style of the dining outfit! I need to do more of that in my builds. It's so easy to match that rooms just blend into nothing.
Katie’s home is lovely 🙂The exterior design is very nice, and the screenshots of it in Wintertime are pretty. Very lovely furnishing of each interior room! The pink colour of her bedroom and the room design are pretty. The wall art is very nice. Very nice open plan layout of the kitchen and living room areas. The basement hobby room is great! Very nice blue and black colours. She would enjoy doing the various activities there.
Hope you're all having a Super Saturday! Here are photos of the house I built for my orphan teen, Katie Roswell who is the only child of Ted & Meredith Roswell. Will give more details in Katie's orphan story but in a nutshell. Her parents passed away of old age while she was still a teenager, so I decided to add her to my orphan series to keep the memory of her parents alive. Here are the photos the house I built for her in Glimmerbrook so that she could be near the Spellcaster secret lot as she pursues her dream of becoming a Purveyor of Potions.
In other news, due to not being able to play Sims 4 on the new laptop as well as the game crashing while setting up Newcrest especially when trying to access the Oak Alcove lot, I've decided to keep everything as is on my regular laptop. The new laptop was rebuilt by the person my husband got it from and is supposed to be for gaming but for some reason Sims doesn't work well on it.
I hope to create the Orphan Valley save after my visit with Katie since finding a household in the 'Other Household' list with two teen siblings living on their own. Am thinking that they would be a good household to begin with in that save.
Here are the photos as promised.
This is the exterior of Katie's home with winter scenery since it's the season to be jolly in that game save. Views of the back with her little stable and back patio are below.
Here is the open living/kitchen area of her home
This is the view of the back entry from the kitchen
The staircase to the downstairs hobby area is on the other side of the half wall. If Katie needs a second floor in the future, the stairs will be able fit above the lower staircase angled. The wall decor will probably need to change at that time.
Katie's pink bedroom. The decor in her home uses her favorite styles: French Country, Vintage, Art Deco, Cosmolux, and Storybook along with the Basics
Used the peg board wall decor to make an accent wall behind Katie's bed.

This is the inside of the little stable Katie had built for when she's able to get herself a horse.
Will leave you with this picture of Katie learning a new potion and she looks forward to telling her story for the Valley Orphan series soon.
