Usually people look for and respond to threads they can relate to. Topics they are interested in. Apparently the brains of some people work differently and they look for topics they are not interested in, just to say they are not interested... adding nothing positive to the discussion. I guess some people are just negative, period.

I'd rather see a more comprehensive approach to the lack of romantic options in the game as explained in the thread "Sims Leaks", but of course I'd like to have this option available.
