The weather just took a turn for the worse as an unexpected snowfall has just begun. You have sent everyone from the office home since you only have one more client to interview. You want to make sure everyone gets home safely before it really gets bad on the streets. Since it is Friday, this means a slow weekend in front of the fireplace with a good book. You smile at the thought as you make more hot cocoa with marshmallows.
The bell on the office door jingles gently as someone enters, and you turn around to greet your client. He is a very tall and thin man with hair so black it shines blue. His eyes are a dazzling blue, and his lips have a ruby glow, probably from the cold blowing winds outside. He never left a name, so you are curious about him as he carefully stomps the snow off his shoes on the mat before walking towards you.
You walk towards him with a piping hot mug of cocoa and greet him warmly. He returns the smile and follows you into the inner office. Once you are both seated and sipping cocoa he begins to talk.
"This cocoa sure hits the spot!" he exclaims merrily. "What a delightful welcome! My name is Jack Frost-well, I should say it is Jonathan, but I have been called Jack since birth. I run a bar in the next town. I should say I ran one. It was very popular for years, but a tornado wiped it out last summer. I was devastated for a while, and I just could not see myself rebuilding over there. So I finally decided to come over here and build a new business." He takes another slurp of cocoa and sighs in appreciation.
"What kind of new business are you looking to start?" you ask patiently, happy he likes your cocoa.
"Well, that is the thing," he admits wearily. "I don't really know. My family have had many businesses, in the past as well as today. I want to do something different. I have two real loves. Now don't laugh! Art and dogs!" He chuckles.
You join in his laughing at two such separate loves then prompt him, "Have you decided which you want to pursue?"
"Absolutely not!" he says cheekily. "That part I am leaving up to you! I have $197,500 to spend. Make me a kennel or an art gallery, whichever you like. I will get the necessary licenses once I have seen it. The only two requirements I have are a large office with a private bathroom for myself with loads of green in it and a large break room with entertainment as well as food warming and a fridge. Employees deserve the best, in my opinion!"
"That is very generous!" you exclaim, awed by the thought. You know many people who think of employees last, so it is good to hear someone of a different cloth. You continue to question him until you see a real trend towards one of the businesses. The snow is already ankle deep when you both finally leave and part in the parking lot. Your mind is swirling with ideas as you drive cautiously home in the blinding snow.
THE BRIEF
-make either an art gallery OR a kennel to board animals.
-budget is $197,500, including the price of the lot.
-include a parking lot; landscaping; public restrooms; a large break room with entertainment, a way to heat food, and a refrigerator.
-include things applicable to the business (art for sale, kennels with part fencing for animals, etc).
-include a large private office with its own ensuite and shades of green!
-include an entrance area with some seating and a desk or cashier area.
Note: For those without any pet expansions, you can build a basic kennel with children’s toys as squeaky toys, there is no need to include animals. CC is allowed as well.

ENTRY DETAILS: I decided to make a vet and rescue, so here's Jack's Vet and Rescue! If making a vet clinic isn't allowed, please let me know It has a vet side and rescue side (with 4 dog rooms but also 2 cat rooms), and on the second floor there's a sort of employee lounge space or could be an apartment as well (I know we can't fully live on business lots in sims, but I still love making these live-in businesses).
All dog rooms have their own yard space as well, and all the room's spaces can lead to a big animal yard where they can all play together. Upstairs there is a lounge/living space, the office with ensuite, a bedroom for Jack to sleep in when he's too tired to drive home/employees, and there's also a painting room (/second sleeping/bedroom) as I felt it'd be fun to include that since he also loves art.

ENTRY DETAILS: Meet Jack Frost, the new owner of Jack's Vet & Rescue! After losing his bar, Jack decided to make a new business in the neighboring town of Brindleton Bay, and follow his love for dogs. He's looking forward to his new chapter in life - with his new dog, Vern!
-- I'm not sure if it's allowed to give him a pet, but I couldn't resist. I can still remove the dog if necessary. I also decided to make him an adult, as I felt like he'd be one with him having already ran a business before etc.
Note: Although this entry isn't for the build, I mentioned the business name. I'm planning on it being a vet with a "rescue side", as I thought that could be what a kennel meant. I can also still change this very easily if necessary, if that wasn't allowed!

ENTRY DETAILS: Here's the Staff Breakroom for Jack's Vet and Rescue! The breakroom has a serene, calming color scheme. It has all you could need, a full kitchen with a microwave and a coffee/tea maker, with a tv to watch and with AC as well!
Note: Full disclosure, the building has an upstairs that could either be more room for the staff or an apartment. This breakroom is designed to be a full breakroom though.

Jack Frost just started an art gallery, and this break room has it all, so if you’re lucky enough to work here, they your breaks will not only be tasty, but fun, and you can even paint on the 3 sketchpads in different parts of the room. The art is by my sim.
He loves each of the 4 nooks and main central entertainment area of his spacious break room, and so do his employees! You can grab a snack at the fridge, crockpot, microwave, stove, or popcorn popper paint on one of the three sketchpads or game in multiple ways! Of course, you can read, check the news on the TV, workout, chat online or just take a nap on the couch in the air conditioned room. Jack Frost may have trouble prying you from the room when it's time to resume work, but he'll be thankful to have such refreshed employees!

ENTRY DETAILS: This spacious break room has a cozy and relaxing ambience and there's everything for the employees to have a nice time on their breaks. There's a kitchen area with a fridge and a microwave oven, and there's also a coffee maker and a tea maker. There's a dining area with a table for six people, and there's a seating area with comfy sofas. There's entertainment as well: a TV, a music device, a chess table + books. The business owner - Jack Frost - likes the color green, so it has been used in the room, and the owner's love for art and for dogs can be seen here too: in the paintings and sculptures. I also imagined that Jack Frost loves nature, so the room has a nature theme in the design.

ENTRY DETAILS: I got this inspiration from the kennel I use for my dog. It is a kennel/training center/vet clinic and pet store in one! It's also on huge grounds and caters to a pet's every need. Jack Frost decided he wanted to build a kennel so he decided to do it big! This is a vet clinic plus it has a pet store inside as well. Use this for multiple things as a retail shop or a vet clinic. It can also be a residence as there's a bedroom upstairs as well as an entertainment room and kitchenette. Fun outdoor space for pets too!

ENTRY DETAILS: I chose to build a dog kennel in downtown San Myshuno on The Old Salt House lot. The reason that I chose to build in the big city was because I wanted Jonathon..er..uh, I mean Jack to be close to the arts district so he can still enjoy his love of art as well as enjoying the company of dogs. I also figured that there would be a need for dog boarding in the city, as many sims may have jobs that cause them to travel frequently. This high end dog kennel and pet store is sure to be a hit with the pet owners from the area or maybe even beyond. Jon's Pet Hotel & Supply offers pet boarding, grooming, training, rehabilitation, supplies, and also offers customers a public outdoor space to train their pet or interact with other pets and their owners. The building has a modern design with an industrial style staff room and living accommodations above the business. I have made sure to incorporate Jonathon's love of green into the design as well.

ENTRY DETAILS: Here's the Staff Breakroom for Jack's Vet and Rescue! The breakroom has a serene, calming color scheme. It has all you could need, a full kitchen with a microwave and a coffee/tea maker, with a tv to watch and with AC as well!
Note: Full disclosure, the building has an upstairs that could either be more room for the staff or an apartment. This breakroom is designed to be a full breakroom though.

Jack Frost just started an art gallery, and this break room has it all, so if you’re lucky enough to work here, they your breaks will not only be tasty, but fun, and you can even paint on the 3 sketchpads in different parts of the room. The art is by my sim.
He loves each of the 4 nooks and main central entertainment area of his spacious break room, and so do his employees! You can grab a snack at the fridge, crockpot, microwave, stove, or popcorn popper paint on one of the three sketchpads or game in multiple ways! Of course, you can read, check the news on the TV, workout, chat online or just take a nap on the couch in the air conditioned room. Jack Frost may have trouble prying you from the room when it's time to resume work, but he'll be thankful to have such refreshed employees!

ENTRY DETAILS: This spacious break room has a cozy and relaxing ambience and there's everything for the employees to have a nice time on their breaks. There's a kitchen area with a fridge and a microwave oven, and there's also a coffee maker and a tea maker. There's a dining area with a table for six people, and there's a seating area with comfy sofas. There's entertainment as well: a TV, a music device, a chess table + books. The business owner - Jack Frost - likes the color green, so it has been used in the room, and the owner's love for art and for dogs can be seen here too: in the paintings and sculptures. I also imagined that Jack Frost loves nature, so the room has a nature theme in the design.

ENTRY DETAILS: I got this inspiration from the kennel I use for my dog. It is a kennel/training center/vet clinic and pet store in one! It's also on huge grounds and caters to a pet's every need. Jack Frost decided he wanted to build a kennel so he decided to do it big! This is a vet clinic plus it has a pet store inside as well. Use this for multiple things as a retail shop or a vet clinic. It can also be a residence as there's a bedroom upstairs as well as an entertainment room and kitchenette. Fun outdoor space for pets too!

ENTRY DETAILS: I chose to build a dog kennel in downtown San Myshuno on The Old Salt House lot. The reason that I chose to build in the big city was because I wanted Jonathon..er..uh, I mean Jack to be close to the arts district so he can still enjoy his love of art as well as enjoying the company of dogs. I also figured that there would be a need for dog boarding in the city, as many sims may have jobs that cause them to travel frequently. This high end dog kennel and pet store is sure to be a hit with the pet owners from the area or maybe even beyond. Jon's Pet Hotel & Supply offers pet boarding, grooming, training, rehabilitation, supplies, and also offers customers a public outdoor space to train their pet or interact with other pets and their owners. The building has a modern design with an industrial style staff room and living accommodations above the business. I have made sure to incorporate Jonathon's love of green into the design as well.
