It is great that you are doing a spooky castle for Halloween! :) The WIP is looking great!
With the flooring tile issue, perhaps avoid building on the affected lots. Use a differrent lot instead. The lots affected are in this thread.

Another simmer has posted a workaround that may help you.
When you try to place a floor tile and other tiles glitch out, place the rounded deck piece in the size of flooring you need. Then shift click to place the tile and it will fill the whole area.
