Suggestions needed creating my own scenario

I am thinking about playing a new story. I have a general idea of the beginning characters but I would like some ideas for my main character to achieve .

The setup is a bit fairytale like. An evil witch (possibly an evil vampire ) lives in her castle like mansion with her two spoiled children (age group yet to be determined) The witch obviously wants an easy life and hates chores. She forces a young girl to work for her and do all the work at the house. This young girl is the heroine of the story and the main character. How can she earn a way out of this misery?

The circumstances : the young girl has to do all kind of chores. I will be playing with the simple living lot challenge (grow your own food, Of course the with will demand a meal with fresh ingredients every day. ), the dust system and laundry. Perhaps also the lot challenge that makes appliances break a lot so she has more to repair.

The witch will have the following traits : mean, snob and self absorbed

The young girl will be clumsy, socially awkward and perhaps unflirty.

Questions

  1. what age should my main character be? A teen with school to attend, a teen and high school drop out or a young adult?
  2. Are there any other circumstances to add to her life to make it more challenging?
  3. Should I make the girl an occult as well? I am thinking about a werewolf because of the challenge it adds. Storywise this could be a result of spell the witch uses to keep her there.
  4. What activities are suitable for the evil witch and her children to spend their time  to keep them busy
  5. What are the possible achievement for gaining her freedom?

So far my ideas for achievements are

  • earning a degree while starting out as a high school drop out
  • Creating some magical jewels to escape the evil witches spells (a plumbob jewel which requires level 10 with a rare crystal grown on a crystal tree
  • Earning enough money with a job to build her own house with basic furniture
  • Finding love that sets her free? Possibly the witches children can come into play as either as possible match or her biggest rivals. (I don't have love struck so no cupids corner available)
  • I would say set the age as a teen. I don't really play with teens but it seems like if she were a young adult, she could (possibly) more easily get away from the situation. However if she were a teen, she wouldn't have very many choices other than "running away" as a child. Also you would have more time to develop her skills and traits and all that, leading into young adulthood / adulthood. If you are going to make the girl an occult, it would have to be something where she would not have the strength to overpower the witch, unless maybe you wanted her to study in secret and get stronger and eventually be able to just destroy her abuser. Which - that could be one way she could gain her freedom. Maybe the evil witch and her children enjoy mischief of some sort, maybe they have deviant aspirations or...I don't know, something that makes them evil lol. I'm a sucker for love, I love love, but at the same time I wouldn't just jump at making finding romantic love the thing that sets her free. It would be cool if she grew strong enough to free herself. Be a strong powerful woman who don't need no man lol. Anyway, those are just some ideas. I really like the story you are coming up with! Very cool!

I think a teen would make more sense, the more I think about it.

I hadn't considered the mischief skill yet. My regular sims don't develop that skill so it would change up my gameplay for a bit.

After reading your reply I am more convinced to play out a story where she grows strong to free herself rather than be rescued by love. Thanks

I think she should be a young adult mermaid, and the evil witch gives her a murky pool in the dungeon. This is why she's trapped. The only other source of water she can travel to is Forgotten Mere, which is infested with carnivorous batfish. If she's a teen, you'll be bombarded with messages related to High School, but no one is supposed to know where she is.

I like the jewelry idea. Would it be possible to require Rainborz? That one makes you fearless.

I haven't thought about mermais, more about the 3 main more elaborate occults. But I do like the idea bout the murky pool in the dungeon. I will think about this for a bit. Perhaps I will go for a mermaid

The Rainborz sounds interesting. I was thinking any rare crystal would do but if this is the one that makes sims fearless, then I think I will go for this specific one.

I was thinking mermaid too, and a teen. If you don't mind mods there are ways to silence the phone so she won't be constantly on it. It does sound like a story set in a time where phones don't really fit in. Also if she's trapped, I doubt she'd be allowed to go to school, so definitely a drop out.

As for activities for the evil witch and her children, mischief definitely fits. She could also work with criminal activities, perhaps making cursed jewellery and selling it (which is how the mermaid can learn how to make jewelry to protect herself?) She could also have the criminal career, or seduce rich men, marry them and kill them off to gain more wealth...
