What did you use for that?

I love being able to paint the ceilings :). However, I can't get the Free Camera feature to work in build mode. Is it Shift + Tab to use it (like in live mode) or something else. I've tried the Shift + Tab without any mods/cc to see if that may be the problem but it still wouldn't work. This is *NOT* a bug report (yet); I'm just verifying info. I'll make a bug report on AHQ if there's no other way of entering Free Camera in build mode.

Pretty sure it's just Tab (Windows) w/ S3 camera.

I haven't patched yet but that's how it works in Live mode so I assume the same for BB. Someone else with the patch can confirm.

Actually, I think I should have said "First Person View" instead, as I'd like to be able to see the painted ceiling in build mode in case I want to change it. Sorry for the confusion.

@Starfree I have the patch, and as far as I know, the camera that was added to build mode is the free camera (you press just the Tab key to open it in both build mode and live mode. In live mode, the first person camera (the one that lets you see from the active sim's view) is shift+tab. As far as I know, they didn't add first person camera to build mode, just the free camera. (Haven't tried it myself though) You can still see the ceilings using the free camera mode, you just have to use the WASD keys and the mouse to move the camera around. (With the Q & E keys adjusting the height of the camera)

I would love some starry sky too if I had flat ceilings or walls its so pretty

irl as kid I always had this awful white styrox style textured ceiling that couldn't be easily removed or painted hated it so much

these days I live in small log cabin with A frame ceiling all wood no paint and I love it so much I don't want to paint anything

best would be skylight but that comes with con of snow, lack of privacy, sunlight which can be deadly to vampire such as myself

Look up galaxy/star projectors. They look so cool. Some of them can be semi affordable around $40. The dirt cheap ones don't seem to get great reviews. I want one but would rather spend that money on video games or my cats. :lol:

I actually have a star projector. Makes for pretty atmospherical movie nights as well. Too bad the stars are green, of all colours...

@MrPlumbob yeah, free camera works but I couldn't see the ceilings so thought it was supposed to be First Person view. Thanks for the info on how to see the ceilings, I didn't know that!
