The lump of clay - my favorite item

@Trendorina - pottery sculptures for sure - but I would also like to see wood, metal, stone - there are more than enough variables to make sculpture a career and skill like painting.

My sister came up with the idea that if you were really good at the Sculpture skill you could make a statue of one of your Sims, like a portrait but in stone. :smiley:

That is a fantastic idea. That would be a great reward for getting a level 10 in sculpture.

I totally agree with many of the posts here and that should be the ability to go into Clay/Sculpting like you would with painting with the idea to create masterpieces and fire them in a KILN to harden them and keep sims from changing their looks. Anything creative is a plus with this type of game-play... Sims are all about creativity and making something out of nothing. Maybe a whole expansion dedicated to Bronze Work, Clay, Pottery, Jewelry, Glass. SIMS 3 had a store download that gave you something similar to this but it was never fleshed out entirely. What does everyone think?

Yes. :) Sculpting and pottery-making are my favorite hobbies from the games.
