Day 11 - Year 1302

It was raining, but luckily a large canopy had been constructed for the occasion. Simon Scott helped Renly get situated and it wasn't long before Thomas and Kimberly showed up.

Thomas had woken up early in eager anticipation. Kimberly was up early these days due to it being hard to sleep with such a large belly. She was ready for the baby to come. Thomas hoped the baby would wait till after the art show. He introduced himself to Renly and showed him two of his masterpieces he had brought.

Renly, an art lover himself, poured over and admired all the details in his painting. He even showed Thomas some of his own paintings, and some from other artists he had collected.
"I'd be happy to add these to my collection!" he told Thomas.
"How much are you offering?" Thomas asked him.

They made a deal (Thomas made out handsomely) while Kimberly browsed the art. Afterward they splurged on some delicious meat pie from the tavern.

"I still have those errands to run for Kim," Kimberly remembered. "Can we take a visit to the Creature Keeper? Perhaps he'll be home today."
He was home, and Kimberly found him by his cottage. She introduced herself and learned that his name was Michael.

She gave him the rose from Kim, but Michael didn't seem very pleased to receive it. He seemed rather uncomfortable.

"I...I'm afraid I must have given Kim the wrong impression," he stammered. "Please, give her these mushrooms in return, but make sure she knows they are a friendly gift. N...nothing more."

Oh, poor Kim...
She sat with Thomas later after Michael had left. "What am I supposed to say to her?" she wondered. "Do you think she'll be very heartbroken?"

"Just be honest with her," Thomas advised. "If he doesn't intend to marry her, then there's no point in getting her hopes up."
"You're right..."
They spent a while chatting and enjoying each others company and making big plans for the future.
"With the money we make from painting, and your singing, we can expand our cottage. We'll have lots of rooms and big open spaces for all our children to run and play."

"All our children? How many will we have?" Kimberly laughed.
"As many as we want."

"You want a big family then?" she asked him.
"Yes, I would like that."
"I'd like that too," she said, scooting close to Thomas.

"Do you really think I can make money with my singing? I would love to be a bard, or a minstrel."
"Of course you can," he answered. "You'll see."

Things got a little heated then and Thomas let his passion overtake him.

"Careful!" Kimberly said, but she was laughing. "I felt the baby kick. Do that again and he might just come out," she teased.

"Or she."

"Whichever it is, I can't wait," Thomas told her.
"You can't wait? Get this thing out of me already!" And they both laughed.
Later, Kimberly found some mushrooms. Unfortunately they weren't the kind Kim had asked for, but she picked them anyways.

They got home and Kimberly did some breathing exercises on the bed. Thomas was still in panic mode.
"Can I get you anything? Water? Blankets? What do I do?"

Kimberly was oddly calm. Thomas took a deep breath and joined her on the bed.

"Welcome to the world, my sweet Emma," Kimberly whispered.

Kimberly rocked Emma and sang to her.

And then they made a giant pot of soup to celebrate. They were both very hungry after the whole ordeal.

A Million DreamsThomas has the Big Happy Family aspiration, so that explains his dream. Kimberly's aspiration is soulmate, but she of course also wants to sing!
