Variety of Musical Instruments in Sims 4

I think it'd be nice to eventually have some more variety of musical instruments in the Sims 4. I've seen guitars, violins, pianos, keyboards, basses, and drums in old and new Sims games, but I think it'd be cool if some other interesting instruments were added. For example:

  • lutes
  • panflutes
  • harps
  • flutes
  • organs
  • cellos
  • ocarinas
  • tambourines
  • didgeridoos
  • marimbas

I would love to see these instruments in the Sims 4. It could be in a musical stuff pack or something. Perhaps add in music boxes and gramophones as well? I love music from ancient, medieval, and old times.
  • I've never even heard of some of these, but sure why not. I may or may not use them, but if someone wants them, it would be great to have it in the game.
  • Something else I thought about years back for other games but stopped thinking about them & now I'm thinking about them again after this post. More musical instruments is long overdue as well.

Why have we only been subjected to have guitars & violins?

I like the instruments you posted & would also love a saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, maybe sims could play the snare drums handing around their necks & symbols too!!
  • I was thinking the same thing earlier today. This would be so cool but I don't think Ea would do it... :(
  • I'm voting no to didgeridoos.
It's incredibly offensive to Indigenous Australians for women to play the didgeridoo- let alone white people- and due to game mechanics that's exactly what would happen.

This site has some more info on the subject: http://black-australia.tumblr.com/post/84659880212/do-you-think-its-ok-to-play-didgeridoo-as-a-white
And here's a news article on the subject as well: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2008-09-03/didgeridoos-a-dont-for-girls-expert/498040
  • There have been some female players but they dont play during ceremonies and its not specifically encouraged in the general context, but I wouldnt say women arent allowed - it depends on the context and the tribe.

Fair enough, but when's the last time you saw a tasteful depiction of Native Americans in an American game (let alone Native American characters at all)? If they can't manage that, I don't have a lot of faith that they'd be able to do justice to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures.
