I was just thinking of this.

There is a real need for more bride gown. The ones we have in the game aren't enough and that beautiful :confused:

A wedding stuff pack would make a heck of a lot of sense (cents too!)

Personally, I'd like a lot of skirt and top options, when put together, they become a large variety of gowns.

Guests would send the newly weds gifts via mail; Ex: Microwave, plant, coffee maker, ice cream machine, etc.

That could get awfully complicated. What happens when you have a best woman, or a bridesman?
Personally, I'd rather have a simplified system for choosing your wedding party.
eg: Chief attendant for (sim getting married), Attendant for (sim getting married), Jr Attendant for (sim getting married)

Throw Bouquet Self Interaction (closest sim gets the bouquet)

Or cat throwing, if you have pets

Slow Dancing (aka first dance)

Personally, I'd like to see cheese cakes added, as in a 'cake' of cheeses.

There is so much I would change about weddings if given the chance. I see Weddings as a bit of a mini game within the game and a chance for mistakes, disasters and stories to be applied if cleverly done. This isn't to say all weddings should have negative outcomes just some randomness to make it interesting. I think the Simmer (meaning us), should act as the Wedding Planner.



Wedding Traditions from around the world

* Doing their whole weddings probably would be cumbersome for a game but a few things could be added to improve diversity

• From the Jewish tradition (The Wedding Canopy the Chuppah, the breaking of the glass, and the Horah dance)
  
• The Shinto tradition with the traditional garb and the kami shrine

Sounds nice. I think with Seasons, the gift giving will comeback and can plan events ahead of time and can also sort of create bachelor parties probably (just need dancing on the tables and sims affected by 'juice' again), so that won't be need or at least not as something new but enhanced with new options. We do need slow dancing and have some more CAS and objects for wedding. Also new cakes and arches.

Maybe they can hire a band *hint hint* (I want bands back!).

If we can make it as a game pack, there can be a lot more to it, including a new lot to hold weddings and receptions, traits, etc...sims that get left at the alter depending on their trait could either be really happy or become extremely sad and can possibly die (such as from a broken heart; but it depends on the specific traits a sim has as their moods will vary). Sims can have a midlife crisis.

There is just so much you can really do. Maybe it could be a part of a full generation expansion since a lot of life stages sort of need more to them. Like they can film the wedding and elders can remember and think back on it. Teens can go to prom.

There could even be a wedding/event planner career or set up like a bridal shop as a retail.

That doesn't sound quite right.
Certainly, the rate of marriage has reduced, but that's because of a few things: Many couples are waiting longer to get married, they aren't rushing into it. And many people wait until they already own a home before getting married, because a home is more important to them than the piece of paper. A wedding is expensive, so is a house.
Due to marrying later, they're less likely to divorce, thereby reducing the divorce rate.

Weddings in the sims means that people can live out the fantasy of marrying right out of uni, instead of waiting another 10-20 years.

I think that is off. I think it more like more people are waiting until later to get married (probably because stable careers and all that are getting harder to find for one thing) and in less of a rush to get married young or jump into marriage too soon.

With sims, that is less of something to worry about and everyone can have their dream wedding and all that with whatever sim that they want.

I agree with you all. I think that the sims 4 team should invest a lot more in weddings because it is an integral part of the game which is totally lacking. The Sims 4 wedding is very meager, there are no special interactions, no proper attire, no arches selection, and there are not more elementary things that can improve the wedding experience and make many players enjoy that experience much more...
