The Tudor architecture and English pubs, and the Shakespeare Sim that was in the trailer suggests that England, at the very least, serves as some of Windenburg's inspiration.

The German angle is clear, but there is an English element to the world design as well.

    Medieval German buildings:

The style is medieval half timbered, not specifically Tudor.

That's nice, except for all the times Maxis has called it Tudor.

  • What about a pony ride or merry-go-round?

I vocally want horses in the game. As for ponies? I'd be happy with them if they come along with horses but I don't know if designing them would be complicated.

As for the style? I'd want to ability to have the various types of equestrian activities. English or Western? Could I have both? Horses are appreciated in a lot of the world.

I agree that Windenburg is more Germanic but is kind of designed to draw from various influences including Britain. Parts of France, Belgium, Netherlands and even parts of northern Spain look a bit like it.

What about a world that blends Britain with rural Chile or Argentina? Farther out, it could be grasslands such as those that are found on many continents.
  • Squee, Thelwell ponies! My first was like that. Round lil thang who kept trying to run out on me at a teensy crossrail, so my instructor told me to take a nice tight rein and drive her on. And she plumming stopped at the fence and I went over, and slid down her neck to the ground. I must have been like seven at the time and tiny.

I think my username might imply that I just want some four-legged hayburners for my sims, thankyouverramush.

Agreed. Although I don't know how well it would work without guns in it. I always wanted a Japan world would but the same problem applies.
