There are multiple activities from small businesses recycled for custom venues and getaways such as "horses play and learn" "pets play and learn", etc. but there's no way to have the custom roles to actually be any of the pets or infants/toddlers. Please add this even if they don't spawn with caregivers. The whole point of Custom Venues is for us to decide how the lot functions.
I can't even assign an infant/toddler to a role when creating a getaway for a family. I even assigned his dad to care for toddlers and infants. I wanted to use it for an extended family vacation and everyone can go except the toddler.
what's the point of the "care for animals" Getaway task if we can't have farm-yard animals automatically populate a lot? I built a custom venue petting-zoo/farm/nectary for my San Myshuno sims and didn't realize none of the animal gameplay would work. super disappointing!

Why would anyone purchase AA to control sims in their own household? We can already do this without Adventure Awaits. The point of the Schedule system within Getaways and Custom Venues is to control the behaviour of sims outside of the played household.
As other have said, this was either falsely advertised in which case EA should take accountability, or it is a bug and should be investigated and fixed in a patch.
Right, Creating Animal Venues is one of the reasons I got the DLC and from the way it was presented it seemed like it would work differently so that's not correct. We want to give other families' pets/horses the opportunity to participate in trips and go to personalized locations to carry out the planned activities.

The steps mentioned do not populate the venue with non-household pets, which is what I would expect from a custom venue.

The steps shared above should work for Custom Venues as well, as long as you meet the other needed criteria like dog friendly objects outlined in the full post.

This isn't Feedback. Advertising was clearly misleading.
Failure to include these features at launch must be a bug, dev-oversight, or...
The alternative is that someone at EA knew this pack didn't have these features and advertised them anyway on official Sims' social media accounts... just to influence people to buy a pack that not only contained many bugs, but was unfinished at launch. Clearly, the pack doesn't function as advertised.
And on top of all that, someone else at EA is moving all these Bug Reports to Feedback, which removes votes! And not a single EA employee (or volunteer) is logging when Bug Reports are migrated to other departments, which makes the threads jumbled and harder to understand.
This is just terrible optics. I beg the team to discuss other alternatives of addressing these major issues with the new pack, Adventure Awaits.

This method is can’t be used for custom venues and yet those activities are still available. This level of micromanaging being required to make advertised features viable feels deceptive.
