Do you have anything particular in mind? I'm wondering what anime's might be a good fit for the Sims. It's not exactly my field of expertise, but if they somehow manage to make a Cowboy Bebop pack... I'd check the galleries and CC sites that provide anime related items.
I'm old school anime/manga. Sailor Moon, DBZ, Gundam Wing were the big players. CAS for those characters would be awesome.
Lasting or notable anime I am aware of: Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Yu Yu Hakusho, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Naruto, Attack on Titan, HunterxHunter, One Piece... there are others, but anyway...
I think the main thing regarding anime would be CAS assets. I think just the hairstyles alone would be a game changer for the anime fans. I've tried making Sims versions of Disney and anime characters before, and a lot of the time it is the hair that is the most defining characteristic lacking. If I was any good at 3-D modeling and CC, I'd be making those hairstyles and some of the clothing that just *cannot* be "somewhat replicated".
