Aspiration feedback ideas

don't get me wrong, i love what the team did with teens exclusive aspirations that comes with "High School Years" pack

but i don't want the teens to have that family aspiration categories already
like i get some teenagers are thinking about having a child in the future but they shouldn't have that aspiration in game already unless they age up into an adult (or young adult)

also can elder lifestage have exclusive aspiration only elder sims can have?

i once mentioned in the children pack ideas but they also deserves to have more  aspirations
and before anyone ask: yes i'm aware they have a couple of aspirations that's exclusive to them which came with "Growing Together" but it's still so little, they should have more aspirations that's exclusive to them only, the child lifestage have so little aspirations, they deserves to have more aspirations

i know we can change them once you're no longer in CAS mode at anytime but i honestly also think they should disable some aspirations based on the personality traits

and the other one i have in mind is the randomizer icon you have in personality traits already because i often find it difficult to pick a aspiration for my sim(s) so randomize them will be very usefull for me (and possibly the others) like we can do with personality traits

  • What kind of new aspirations do you think the game needs to add to the toddler- elder ages specifically...

You won't have to disable everything

Just to name something when you have the lazy trait the sport category should be disabled

Same with hate children they should disable the family aspiration there if this trait is on

    (For exambles of course)

    I can't think of any

The closest one i could possibly think of is to like take care of their grandkids (if they have one of course and if not maybe they can babysit other little kids, they can make it a active babysitter career rather than rabbit-holes)

and the other giving others the life they deserve

I don't know if aspirations is possible for toddlers though unless you can think of any?

If you want a sim to behave properly with the aspirations and traits you pick than it's best to concentrate on those traits only.

You already have control with traits and aspirations depending on what you choose.

If my Sim is lazy I don't need the athletic career toggled because I wouldn't choose it.  Grilled cheese, location, family( lazy mom) aspirations...and so forth could work if you pick traits that don't conflict with each other or the aspiration.

I have more than enough traits in my game including hidden traits but they don't work if they conflict with an aspiration or each other.

The Food aspiration could add Professional Pastry Chef or Restaurateur.

The Creative aspiration could add Professional Model or Fashion/Interior Designer...and so forth.

I find that the more DLC you own the more traits and aspirations you have in the game. EA continues to add new aspirations with EP's.

"Just to name something when you have the lazy trait the sport category should be disabled."

No. Don't take options away from players. If I want to create a lazy sim and do the athletic aspiration with him, because I like the extra challenge, that's my business. Don't dictate people how they should play their game.

  • Maybe a toggle on/off could be optional for those who doesn't want the option to disable some aspirations if certain personality trait is on👍

Sorry if i came off as a pushover but i still find it strange you can click on every aspirations if your sim has the opposite traits but the toggle on/off could be optional so we can both play our own ways with its gameplay

Disabling aspirations due to that takes away the challenge. I have teens that are family sims, so having the family one makes sense. It is also very challenging and laughable to do the family aspiration with a sim that "hates children." The only thing I want is for there to no longer be tutorial aspirations.

Oh i didn't know, i always felt like it was useless since you can't get teens pregnant, that was the reason i felt like they should like get rid of it untill you're like young adult, my bad

But i do agree with how aspirations were made, it feels mostly more like a tutorial rather than what The Sims 2 had
