Can there please be an unlimited custom tattoos option? I hit the limit when it comes to adding custom tattoos from the gallery to my characters(even though I only added tattoos to a maximum of 10 sims). When I try to erase the tattoos off, since that’s the only way I can access the imported tattoos, the painting option is non accessible. So now the tattoos are permanently on the character, I can’t add any tattoos to anyone else, and there is no way to bypass this through the settings. Aside from going back an entire save file and starting over, of course.

I personally think this is unacceptable. Do we even know why there is a limit? Is it only for console players? The blog post said we we were supposed to be able to make an unlimited number of custom tattoos. I really hope this gets adressed, I got the warning when opening up a 6 person household in CAS from my library with only normal tattoos that I made before the pack. I play on PS4 by the way.

  • More posts about this elsewhere, than in the official EA forums...sad really. It really shows were the audience is and how much they trust EA and these forums!

The custom tats were one of the the main selling features of the B&H pack and silently, they put a limit and didn't warn anyone. Rentals were the main feature of the FR pack and there is a limit for those too,  but they at least warned everyone. Then we get an official update on the save corruption bug, recommending we limit objects, CAS details, and built up lots we have in our saves. This takes painstakingly long and is literally punishing players for playing in a sandbox.

Sounds like the game is dying from the bloat of its own weight and it's honestly heartbreaking. I have played every Sims IP since 2001, I have owned all the packs for all of them. I have even ALMOST bought merch 😱

I consider myself to be pretty loyal to the Sims franchise, until these last 3 years. I think after the Sims 4 gets too bloated, I'm wiping my hands clean of EA and walking away.

EA is so focused on profit, they can't stop making DLC . They need to pause/focus fixing the Sims 4 and optimizing it so it can handle more DLC. The Sims 4 will end up like the Sims 3, bloated and unsustainable...except this time, the funding for Sims 5 has been cut and Project Rene is a mobile game...so there is no hope for the future of this franchise.

TLDR: The Sims 4 is becoming bloated and will get crushed under its own weight... probably soon.

  • I'm honestly really upset about this. This was the main feature I bought this pack for and now it's completely unusable for me. I can't access custom tattoos or paint mode in my game at all, I can't give Sims tattoos in game (even regular tattoos without getting the pop-up), and I'm pretty positive the pop-up is glitched because I get it every time I load into any household I play in CAS. I'm unbelievably frustrated by this, I primarily play rotationally in a single save file and now that save file has this issue and I can't fix it. The way the implemented the limit was horribly misleading, how are you going to promote a pack with a tagline that says "unlimited custom tattoos" and have a limit of 25 (!) per save file without telling anyone about it. On top of that, I'm confused by responses given to this issue, they don't make any sense. How is it possible that we "supposedly" have a limit of 100 tattoos but only on playable sims? (which is either untrue or bugged because I only have custom tattoos on my played households and I get the limit pop-up). I don't think they considered all the the ways players would even want to use the custom tattoo feature, a limit like that when the game can supposedly support up to 100 rentals per save (also a lie) is ridiculous.
