Buy Mode - Item Requests
I've this small list of items that I miss from Sims 3, and a few things I think would just go really well.
While I am given to understand that y'all are implementing spiral staircases (Huzzah!) , there are a few items that I miss from sims 3 that I also think could be nice:
Kitchen:
1) Base Game: Wall mounted Microwaves - just the same palettes as the existing Base Game microwaves. Make 'em clip to walls (as mirrors do - with a set height). I do understand the hurdle on this one has to do with the additional animations that would need to be added. Stuff like a kid getting out a step stool to get to the microwave.
2) Base Game: Under-Cabinet Trash Compactor / Trash Can. I miss that one a lot. I often find myself economizing on space in kitchens because there are so many lovely items to add (thank you Snowy Escape for your open functional shelving in the cabinets). It'd be nice to feel less like I'm giving up on space for this.
(Not from the Sims 3)
3) Smaller Appliances/better ability to cluster them on cabinets. Most kitchen appliances feel like they should take up only a fraction of a counter (usually a half) but end up taking up a whole counter. I am aware that one can get around that by using cheats and shrinking other cabinets into the original cabinet, it'd be nice if I didn't have to in order to achieve the desired effect.
Study (mostly - computer):
1) Base Game: Add Chess and the logic skill to computers - we had it before. Online chess is definitely still an option. Or like...if you're not feeling that item, maybe add a 4X game or an RTS that levels up both logic and video gaming simultaneously? I think there's a rich area of "simultaneously leveling up skills alongside video gaming, just at a worse clip than if you'd dedicated to that skill in specific."
2) Base Game: (Desk-Sized Microscope) I was so pleased when we got a normally sized telescope back. Can we please have a Microscope that takes up the same slot as computers on a desk or countertop?
2) Cross Pack -Base Game + Lovestruck: If you add a dating sim to the game - it could simultaneously level up Video Gaming & Romance? I'd put the skill gain at 80% Video Gaming but 20% Romance? But the skill gain drops off at level 2 or 3? It stands to reason that if one can learn romance from a skill book, one can learn from a video game (we have some that help with taxes for goodness' sake).
3) Paranormal Stuff + Realm of Magic: This is admittedly me going on a slight tangent - It would be AMAZING if Lady Ravendancer's Crystal Ball from Paranormal Stuff operated as a Computer for Spellcaster Sims (or really any sims containing "magic").
Basic whining: Could we please split out Art Nouveau and Deco? More on Style options: I would love it if all items could be categorized, even if they end up in the "basics" category or whichever category is considered the "else" condition.
