Casual Romance Conversation Options Gone?
Hey all. I started playing this after buying and installing the Love Struck pack, and there were a group of options for casual romance. I LOVED THIS!!
Was that part of the game?
I keep the game modded for several reasons. First and foremost that shopping cart. I already own everything except a couple of the lowest level (5€) items that are of no interest to me. The knitting couldn't be resumed last time I tried. And last week, in a 5-hour gaming session, my one gal was abducted 7 times. The bearskin rug from Love Stuck caught afire 3 times in front of fireplaces that were fireguarded (no fix for this, just move it farther away).
I just wish I had a fix for the rocketship upgrade resetting when you save and exit the game, then re-enter the next day, and the books and knitting resetting when you leave the lot, and sometimes when you sleep. Sheep not being able to be sheared - you can just reset the object, and only one type of gate will allow you to lock-out the foxes but lock-in your critters.
So, did anyone else have the conversation options grouping called "Casual Romance"? When I bought and installed Life and Death, that disappeared.
It was disappointing, because the Sims 4 feels like it was designed by two groups: People born in or around 2000 and people born around the 1940s. The sexual repression in the game is disgusting for me. I'm a gen-x, and we women fought hard to have sexual freedom. This game forces me to romance people, before I can get into their britches, regardless of whether I play a man or woman - and for both of these this is an antiquated mentality: repressive and wrong to force on people. The game should not be forcing a certain set of moral standards on players, or send messages to females that the values set by the male patriarchy still apply to them, or telling males that they have to toy with women's hearts to get what they want. It can be negotiated like adult human beings.
I just want to tumble with them, not have to win their hearts. It does not promote the idea that women can be independent and unashamedly in-charge of their own sexuality. And it ALWAYS comes back on the women....
