I love to play book loving and reading Sims, but seriously if you collect a pile of books serching throuth the bookself is annoying. It stopps me from buying all the books i want for my sims. Please implement the book buying pie menu as a serch mechanism on every bookshelf.

Yes, bookcases need a search bar, where you could search by Title or Genre. Or at least a Filter system.
Another solution could be an inventory toggle that, when checked, stacks all books by Genre or Type (Tomes).
A fun solution could be to have Genre-specific bookcases, designed aesthetically to look like their Genre.
Like the filter idea.

With my sims, whenever I give them a book case, I choose a genre or two they will read (based on their other interests) and then empty it of all other books.
