Categorizing Leftovers

Maybe I'm just a nut, but I wish there was a way to choose the "category" of leftovers that you want your sim to eat based on the type of day. I get really annoyed that "Get Leftovers" is basically random and my sim is eating cake batter for breakfast when there are scrambled eggs and bacon in the fridge. Sometimes scrolling thru the fridge to find what I want them to eat becomes so tedious (especially with the Fresh Ingredients update).
I just want it to be easier for my sims to eat the appropriate type of food based on the time of day (or category of food). There's already a schedule on the fridge that suggests Cook Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch/Dinner. Would love an option under "Get Leftovers" that said "Get Leftover Breakfast" or something like that.
