Columns as Objects and Free Placement/Free Height Adjustment

Give us Object versions of columns, or a toggle to place them freely like objects. Please. I'm begging.

As seen in this James Turner video, Columns also cannot be extended unless there is a wall above them...but if you change the wall after extending, they stay extended. Just let us extend them as far as we want at all times- there's no reason to restrict that.
