Content idea; exotic pets & world

I've always found it a bit upsetting that, bar the frogs you can collect; you can't really have any 'unusual' pets on the Sims. Even having a vivarium or terrarium with the ability to interact similar to hamsters would be better.

My idea would be ideally a full expansion with a new world, maybe something a bit tropical and humid ( including perhaps a cenote, natural swimming areas that are interesting, waterfalls etc.). Perhaps based around the Malaysian Jungles, or South America. I know Sulani has a Jungle, but it's not really a proper, natural Jungle teeming with exotic life.

The ability to keep pets such as birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates would also be amazing, as many folks have exotic pets and I personally feel I can't truly recreate my home in game without the ability to have such things.

It could come with new careers, such as jungle guide, ornothologist, entomologist/arachnologist and herpetologist. This could pair with eco-lifestyle as well as the nature packs, and even realm of magic as you could use them as ingredients for things, such as potions or cures for ailments.

There could be new collections, such as isopods,  small spider and lizard collections, also with plants from the new world you can garden / splice, etc.

New Traits could be interesting, such as scared of reptiles / reptile lover, arachnophobia or lover of creepy crawlies, "heart of the jungle" / "fear of the jungle", etc.

It would also be cool to be able to stream with an exotic pet or write manuals / record content about them, as well as having an exotic pets festival included where you can give talks, purchase new exotic pets and get themed t shirts / food as well.

  • One of the most fascinating and unusually beautiful variations of this gentle giant is the albino capybara, a rare genetic form that lacks melanin, resulting in striking white fur and pinkish eyes. Albinism in capybaras is exceptionally rare in the wild and can make these animals more vulnerable to sunlight and predators, but their unusual appearance has captured the imagination of animal lovers around the world. Despite their rarity, albino capybaras have become quite famous among exotic pet enthusiasts and zoo visitors alike because of their unique look and the same friendly, calm temperament typical of capybaras generally. In some cases, individuals with this condition have become beloved attractions in captivity simply because they stand out so dramatically from the usual brown‑coated rodents. Albino capybaras still share the same semi‑aquatic lifestyle and social nature as other capybaras, enjoying companionship, grazing on grasses, and cooling off in water, but their eye‑catching appearance ensures they are often talked about far more than their normally colored counterparts.

Would love to see more animals in general, both as pets and to interact with in the wild, I think using objects like the bird tree and rabbit stump, as this is an existing mechanic it would be easy to implement. What would be even better is for this to be released alongside lots of new plants, with an ecologist career. Then there could be 2 branches of the career, wildlife ecologist or forest ecologist. Although we have the Conservationist career already, it only allows you to work in Sulani and that gets really boring and repetitive, in addition to being quite immersion-breaking if your sim lives nowhere near Sulani but has to travel there every day. It would be nice to have the option of placing animals and plants anywhere that sims can interact with to fulfill ecological research career tasks, as well as having to use research machines and write reports, because that is really lacking in the Sulani-based conservationist career.

As much as I'd love to see this come with a new world, I do think there are higher priorities for new worlds, as we currently have no representation of entire continents (e.g. Africa), no Middle Eastern/Persian content, etc. So personally I think a game pack would be great for this, with a wide range of animals and plants that could be placed in any world!
